Description

USA Today Best Selling Author, Leighann Dobbs, has had a passion for reading since she was old enough to hold a book, but she didn't put pen to paper until much later in life. After a twenty year career as a software engineer with a few side trips into selling antiques and making jewelry, she realized you can't make a living reading books, so she tried her hand at writing them and discovered she had a passion for that too! She lives in New Hampshire with her husband Bruce, their trusty Chihuahua mix Mojo and beautiful rescue cat, Kitty.

Just plain awful.

Worst book I have ever paid money for. Cliched, trite, banal, insipid, and just plain awful. I am at a loss trying to see how anyone could have liked this drivel.

Easy read

Fun, short mystery. Easy read, not to many twists and turns.

Another winner for Lee

Chief of Police officer Robby Skinner calls Detective Frank Zambuco from the mainland when he is called to the scene of the body of psychic Zoila Rivers. It's obvious that she was murdered and he didn't have the experience to investigate a murder.

Also on the island is Robby's aunt, Claire Watkins; a trained clinical psychologist, and Dominic Benedetti; a retired detective from Boston, who had worked several cases with Claire. They did not necessarily like each other but got the job done. Can they put their professional feelings towards each other aside and solve another crime. Before the wrong person is arrested for the murder, or before another innocent person is also murdered.

This is another great story from Leighann Dobbins. She continues to put out quality stories with lots of humor and ones also that has very little if any profanity or innuendo in them.

The plot is good but the written story line is unnecessarily repetitive

This book might engage a preteen but more mature mystery readers will probably find it plodding. The plot is good but the written story line is unnecessarily repetitive, wordy, and simple.

4 stars for entertainment

I've read some of the Lexi baker series and got tired of the predictable characters. This series is refreshingly different and noticeably better quality of writing. Looking forward to reading the next one.

Quick read

Nice book but not as good as I had hoped. However, everyone should decide for them self. I liked the larger print.

Fun cozy read set on the Maine coast

Nice Maine setting and interesting main characters. A quick, pleasurable read. I would like to read more stories starring Claire and Dom.
