Small but fantastic
I ordered this set after reading Amazing Airplanes elsewhere and my 2yo really enjoying it. The stories are absolutely wonderful--very educational (I learned so much about tractors that I never knew!) and with a nice cadence (the lines rhyme). They are small books, and I've taken a picture of one next to the regular-sized version and a dollar bill for comparison. But the size doesn't bother my toddler. Easier to throw in a diaper bag! And you can't beat the price. They are a huge hit at my house.

great fun!
These little hardback books are mini versions of the originals, but they have exactly the same text and illustrations - and are way more toddler friendly! The stories are awesome - my 18 month old can't get enough. Theres lots of rhyming, and tons of 'factual information' rather than just a story - so i know hes going to love them for years to come. My 4 year old nephew is a great fan too - particularly of the very last page which is a summary of the key 'parts' of each machine!

A little small and flimsy.
It's just a little flimsy for my liking: this set won't survive very long in the hands of a toddler. The storage box is only somewhat stable when all 10 books are in, otherwise it tips over. Also my toddler gets frustrated trying to put the books in: they have to be placed rather carefuly. My biggest compain though.... Yes the pictures are colorfull and cute but i can't figure out what animals are shown in those pictures! When i start saying: this and this are flying on the airplane, i have no idea who "this" is! Also, i couldn't find which books were included before i bought this set. I was disappointed not to find helicopters and motocycles; i had to order those separately. Overall kids seem to like them a lot but mom wishes for more realistic pictures.

Love these books
My 3 year old son had been given the airplane book and it has been a favorite. For his 4 year birthday I ordered this set. Reading to him is very important to me but he isn’t a big fan. I knew these would be a hit! They are informative, use excellent vocabulary words, and are sweetly simple with a rhyming cadence. Highly recommend. Wanted to include a picture to show all the books that come in the set.

My boys love this collection!!
OMG my boys love this collection. The books are simple, well illustrated and great for all kids at story time. I have read each book in the collection at least a few times and I actually enjoy them as well. So if you have a kid in your life that likes boats, cars, trucks, rockets, submarines, etc., get this collection and have some fun reading to them.
The one very minor piece of feedback I have is, the final page where it has the parts of each boat, car, fire truck, whatever, each main item should be its own page. While there is great information in there, the type and picture are too small. That is the page my boys ignore completely. Somehow they just skip over it. It is not enough to take a star off, but if the authors make more, and I hope they do, I hope my feedback is listened to.

These are GREAT
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I bought these. I completely relied on the other positive reviews, assuming I wouldn’t be led astray ... and I wasn’t! My 2 year old son absolutely loves these books! They have a nice flow to them when you read them out loud and are educational, too. I’m really glad I invested in this set.

Great set of books for little guys!! (even girls!)
I purchased this set after my son had wanted to have "Tough Trucks" read to him every night for two weeks straight.
Different vehicles are introduced in these short books in rhyming meter but "star" the same familiar animals working with tractors, rockets and diggers. My son loves the page after the story that illustrates working parts and their names, like gravity boots, bow/stern of a boat, or blades/buckets on earth-moving machines, and points them out when we see them.
With 10 books in the set, you can rotate them enough to get exposure to all and still maintain favorites for both you and your children.

Godsend for Car-Obsessed Toddler!
When my son hit 18-months he became obsessed with anything that had wheels. Believe it or not, I found it hard to find a book that could pack enough cars into it to keep him engaged (exception being Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks and Things that Go which is also dynamite). Then - voila - I found this series and he absolutely loves it. There are enough books so that we can cycle through it continuously, about 3 a night. The illustrations are gorgeous and the rhyming stories flow easily without being too basic. Plus, there is a page at the end of each book that has some definitions so it also is good for building vocabulary. I can't recommend this series enough!

Our favorite stories!
These children's books are worth every penny that you spend on them. They are colorful, fun, and educational. My 4 yo and 7 yo love them. The 4 yo received them for Christmas and for the following 3 months they would alternate picking out their bedtime story from this assortment. They did not tire of them, and surprisingly, neither did I! The vocabulary lesson that is included is great, and the flow of the story is delightful. I would highly recommend these books as a gift or as a 'just because'... they are very special.

Fun books to read
One of my daughters favorite books it the roaring rockets book. One night we were looking at the other books on the back cover and I decided to surprise her with this set. She loves reading about the other trucks, cars etc. She likes to talk about all the machine parts listed in teh back of the book. My only complaint with these books is the size. They are probably a perfect size for a kid to read but they are a little small for an adult to read the their kid when putting them to bed. As another review states... all the books do sound the same but I think that is the fun in it. Cute books in a cute stand.
