Insanity due to VD and pedophilia, mixed with religious symbols, added to brutal murders

This is one of the worst books I ever have read. I am a big fan of Alys Clare's Hawkenlye mysteries and I even like the Aelf Fen books. The first one in this series was okay, and this book started out okay - but it soon sunk into a morass of insanity due to VD, brutal murders, and evils as a result of pedophilia - with religious symbols thrown in. I am thoroughly disgusted with it and will throw it nto the recycle bin rather than donate it to the library. I am done with this series!

Things are not what they seem

Excellent read for 1604 Devon England. It’s a little dark but a wonderful read and a forerunner to forensic medicine. There are a few twist and turns and surprises.
