Great Pictures! Fun Hours of Coloring!

Vampires & Goddesses were two of my favorite Marty Noble coloring books until the release of Steampunk Fashions! The detail is just enough, each picture more interesting than the last. The paper is good quality and printed on single side. So if you are a colorist who loves interesting detail, then bring out the Color Diamond and ultra fine tip pens & markers and get lost in the lace, brocades, gears & pipes for hours of fun! You will become a coloring fashionista! This book is a treat!

Can't Put It Down!

I absolutely love this book and have spent every free moment coloring in it since it arrived. So far I have finished two pictures and I can't stop looking at my work. I will def want to buy another one of these so I can do another variation of my art. Highly highly recommended.

Update: still not putting it down. Added a couple more pictures since I know when I was deciding to buy the pictures were helpful.

LOVE Marty Noble; upgraded paper doesn't work well with some liquid markers

UPDATE: I am updating both of my recent Creative Haven reviews (the other one is the Owls book) due to the difficulty I am having with the ostensible paper upgrade. The paper is almost too slick to accept the liquid media that I use (such as Supertips and other slightly more expensive liquid media markers). Pencils may work on this upgraded paper, but that's not the medium I prefer. What I have realized by comparing the paper of these new books to my other Creative Haven coloring books bought last year is liquid media works best on a slightly more porous paper, somewhere between the porous quality of last year's books and the seemingly "slick" quality of this year's books. At least that is how it appears to me. This has nothing to do with the marvelous and consistently gorgeous Marty Noble designs; this is a Dover choice.

(My previous review): Loved Marty Noble's other Creative Haven Steampunk coloring book, and this one is no exception! Interesting fashions, interesting designs and backgrounds with an all female fashionista cast. What I am also enjoying with the two new Creative Haven's I've recently bought (the other one was Owls) is the improvement of paper quality (smoother) along with the ease of removing the single sheets from the book (in last year's CH books the perforations were way too large and not closely spaced, thus making it a bit more difficult to tear pages out of the books).

I am a huge fan of Marty Noble and look forward to anything she does, and I am pleased to add Steampunk Fashions to my growing stack of Dover coloring books. Can't wait to see what she and Creative Haven offers next (and there are quite a few new Creative Havens on the horizon for 2016 from what I can tell!)

I really love this coloring book

I really love this coloring book. The pages are fun to color. The pictures are really well done; the book is wonderfully illustrated.

I enjoy coloring pictures of people a lot. Sure I like a Mandela or an owl as much as the next person but what I love is people whether it be a mermaids,an angel, a warrior goddess or a steampunk princess.
These pictures were fun to color. They were complex enough to be interesting but not overly complicated. All of the coloring pages are of steampunk women and I will say that after awhile they seem all a little bit repetitive. That's my only criticism, I wish there was more variety in the pictures.

The paperweight is heavier then some of my other coloring books and I like that. Still I put a barrier between l ages in case of bleed though.

The pages are also perforated. Which I love. It's my favorite part!

This is a really fun, beautiful coloring book. I'm really glad I bought it.

The pictures in this book are beautiful. The images and lines are thin

The pictures in this book are beautiful. The images and lines are thin , crisp and clean. The back of each page is blank which is great if you're using markers. I use a piece of parchment paper or scrapbook paper between page so the colors don't bleed onto the next picture. Gorgeous book. Every picture is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Nice for winding down after a stressful day.

Fun for passing time while watching/listening to television. I use markers for the bigger areas and sparkly or metallic gel pens for the smaller highlights. The pictures are printed on one side to make using markers fun even if they bleed through the paper. I always put a folded up newspaper behind the picture so if the markers bleed through they won't mark what's underneath the picture. I would love to give it a five star review but because of the bleed through problem with markers it isn't perfect. Nothing is perfect hence the four stars. Never expect perfection and you will never be disappointed. I also tear the page out before I start coloring.

Fun book

Fun book. I've been coloring for 10 years as an adult. Now it's the 'popular' thing. I guess I'm ahead of my time. It is a little more 'busy' than I have purchased before. There are some extremely busy/detailed books that stress me out more than let me relax. This one is in the middle. Quality paper, fun pictures. I typically prefer Whimsical, Victorian, or Fairy types that are detailed yet not so busy.
