Heart grabbing story

Grace Greene has done it again.
Libbie Havens was raised by her Grandmother who was a bitter and heartless woman. Libbie was abused as a child by her Grandmother and because of this she had to create her own survival skills to move on in life. A lot of her childhood experiences shaped her but at the same time she was a survivor.
She lost her parents when she was five, raised by her bitter Grandmother, could not trust people, people thought she was not sane, and she was a survivor.
Libbie Havens touch a place in my heart and had me cheering her on to keep surviving.
I laughed, cried, and smiled throughout the story. It is a heart grabbing story and I felt like I was part of the story looking in on Libbie's life.
I highly recommend this book and all books by Grace Greene. She can tell a story that grabs and keeps you wanting for more.

Great Read....Couldn't put it down!!

Wow! I was off to a rough start, but once I got through the first chapter I was hooked. I read this in a week....record time for me. I could not put it down. I don't read much except when it is a movie just to see the differance between the movie and book, but this was a great read. I related to Libbie and her love for photography and making her new house hers. I am a huge Nichloas Sparks fan and this was very close to his style with a little mistery added. I would reccomend this to anyone.

Not what I expected.

I have read some of the other reviews and like many of them I also have not read a book by Grace Greene before. This is a story about a young girl ( Libbie ) who lost her parents at a young age and was raised by a very bitter grandmother. The grandmother was very abusive. Libbie as adult needs to come to terms with this abuse and struggle to have more "normal " relationships. The story moves along quickly and kept my interest to the end. However, it is a rather dark story and has no real romance to it. I don't think I will read anymore of her books.
