Asian Gangs!?!?!

OMG I couldn't put this book down. First of all I love this series but there were so many twists and turns that I didn't know which way this story would end. Ho Lee Noodle is now catering and when Lana has her first event at Dona Feng's house everything goes wrong. Dona has an issue with her nanny during her birthday and then someone ends up dead in the pool. There is a flashdrive that appears and a potential gang out to get someone and all while poor Dona is being accused of murder.

I love that these stories keep evolving and I'm still able to be surprised. The only think I hated was the fact that there wasn't much talk about chinese food but that's ok. Maybe I'm just hungry for it after reading this book but I doubt it. I need the food back lol.

I was so excited to read Vivien Chien’s newest noodle shop mystery and it did not disappoint. The plot is very well thought out, and the interesting background of the Asian American community adds an extra layer of interest to these books. Looking forward to the next book!

Fast paced in a cozy setting.

💖 Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
📚 Genre: Cozy mystery

Lana Lee is on the detective trail again. While catering a birthday party for Donna Feng, a family friend, the maid is discovered dead. All fingers point to Donna, but Lana believes otherwise. Later on, she teams up with a private investigator to find the real murderer and motive.

💖 Positives:
* The mystery set up was interesting with a good assortment of potential suspects.

*  I liked the addition of the private investigator. In the beginning of the book, there is a side note explaining that the investigator is from the author's story in a college assignment. I like how she blended a part of her past with her present time.

* The ending was soooooo good! Oh my goodness. The action! Lana was a badass.

🚫 Negatives:
* I really didn't like reading about her cheating ex coming back into the picture. The author did it in a way so it's more of a side story, but personally, I don't like reading about ex boyfriends.

🌟 Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The mystery kept me guessing and the action at the end was great! I couldn't put the book down for the last hundered pages. I would definitely recommend this book for a cozy mystery lover that likes a fast paced ending.

Fun read!

Egg Drop Dead is a fun read and wittily written. The characters, especially Lana Lee, are affable and likable. Although a murder mystery, it’s an enjoyable journey, to flesh out the offenders. Enjoy the ride, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
