By the end, I was completely worn out and totally in love with the character of Jupiter and her story. SO hoping for a series with this character. Great mystery, awesome page turner!

This books brings people together who shared parts in a 20-year old murder; the paths of those individuals took many turns over the years, as all of ours do... but the haunting death of a woman linked them together then and now. I have read a number of Anne Fraiser's books and they always weave cities, locations and characters together in a way that I cannot put the book down once I start reading! Found Object had me wondering and guessing once again; and once again Anne Fraiser found a way to make me very surprised at the end!

Crime thriller with memorable characters

I've been anxious to try this author for a while now, and this novel has convinced me to read more of her work. The writing flowed smoothly and the characters were vividly drawn.

While the novel began in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the bulk of the story was set in Savannah, Georgia.

The protagonist, Jupiter Bellarose, was a unique and memorable character. Born to two actors, her childhood was a volatile one... until, at age sixteen her beautiful mother was brutally murdered. This event caused her world to upend. She was sent to live with an aunt in Minnesota. Now, thirty-six years old, she is a successful investigative journalist.

After an exposé gone terribly wrong, she has now returned to her hometown to write a piece on the centenary anniversary of a renowned cosmetic company. The very same company that her mother was the figurehead for. Her 'fluff piece' turns gravely serious.

Many themes are portrayed in  this crime thriller. Family secrets, culpability, unscrupulous business practices, the lengths narcissistic folk will go to fight aging, but most of all it explores the fragility and unreliability of human memory.

Recommended to crime fiction lovers who appreciate strong but flawed protagonists.

I felt like I was right with Jupiter...

I felt like I was right with Jupiter on her journey of discovery, questions, and deception, surrounding her mother's murder. Anne Fraiser is so great at creating characters you'll fall in love with, and having you question and point fingers at all the wrong people. 5/5 must read.

Another thriller from Anne Frasier

Found Object was a captivating read. Couldn’t put it down. I love Anne’s writing style. Her characters are believable and the stories she tells keep you turning the pages.
This book is about a young woman named Jupiter, an investigative journalist, recovering from an expose’ of a story that she wrote that ended with losing a man she loved as well as her own well being. To find herself, she goes home to Savannah on another assignment to write a story about a cosmetic company celebrating it’s 100 anniversary. Her mother, who was tragically murdered when Jupiter was young, was the face of this company. While she’s home she learns more about the details surrounding her mother’s death and then more questions arise when things don’t add up. Lots of twists and turns and great characters in this suspenseful novel. Keeps you guessing. You’ll love it, right to the last page.
Other great reads from Anne that are captivating include Elise Sandburg series and Inland Empire Thriller.

Amazing thriller!

I have always been a fan of Anne Frasier and have every book she has written. there is not one that I can say was anything less than outstanding. And her new book, Found Object, was just as good. Excellent story with wonderful characters. And the main character, Jupiter, is extremely funny, witty and intelligent. Her journey to find what happened to her mother is the main thrust of the book. The outcome shocking and healing for Jupiter. I would love to see this character again in another Frasier book. Thank you Anne Frasier for a wonderful story and the time spent enjoying it!

Amazing thriller, must read!!!

Investigative journalist Jupiter Bellarose heads home after a tragic ending to her last assignment. This trip back to Savannah, under the illusion of writing a puff piece, holds unresolved issues with her mother’s murder 20 years earlier. AF’s story writing sucks you in from the very beginning, sending your mind reeling in trying to figure out the “who done it” Every. Single. Time.
