Ghostbusters: A Paranormal Picture Book

The illustrations are great, but the story is an incoherent bumbling mess. It almost seems as if my book is missing a dozen pages or so, but I have confirmed that is not the case. Waste of money.

Book came in great condition. Really beautiful, magical illustrations set to a classic story!

I want to like this book but it tries to sort of adapt and shove the entire movie (the original) into a short kids book and fails. Having seen the movie, I can follow what's going on, but it jumps all over the place and isn't an enjoyable read.

…then at least there might be a fix. As it is, huge gaps make the story incoherent and incomprehensible if you haven’t seen the movie. If you have seen the movie, it will still disappoint you.

Our four boys (12-2) love this book! We are pretty diehard when it comes to Ghostbusters, so it was fun to see them enjoy a different take on the classic movie.

My 3 year old is OBSESSED with Ghostbusters. He was gifted this book for Christmas. It is now the end of March and I have had the unfortunate privelege of reading this book nearly EVERY single night since Christmas (minus a few days we were gone on vacation). Despite having read it literally over a hundred times, it is STILL an incoherent read. At one point, you almost think pages are out of order, but they are not. Then you think some pages are missing, but they are not. It's as if 10 different people brought a couple different pages to the table and they just put them all together. I am seriously shocked at the number of good reviews this book has. I only gave it 2 stars because the illustrations are cute, the main Ghostbusters concepts/characters are there, and my 3 year old freaking loves it. Seriously, what a poor excuse of a "story" this is. I could literally rewrite something that is more coherent and has some flow in 30 minutes -_-

We enjoy this book, but it is about kids in school becoming ghostbusters and doesn't follow the movie like other books in the series.

It's a fun book that breaks down the Ghostbusters theme in a way little kids can understand.

My 6 y.o. grandson loved this book. Big hit!

My husband is a DIE HARD ghostbuster fan...has been since 1980's...he has passed the love onto our son and they both LOVED this book. Very well written. Would recommend to anyone that loves the original Ghostbusters franchise.
