Same Old David, In the Best Possible Way

I’ve anxiously awaited a new David Shannon book for quite some time. I love the playfulness and simplicity of his stories and illustrations since the days of “No David”. I have many fond memories of sharing David’s antics with my oldest child. I was pleasantly surprised when another David Shannon book was stealth released. This book captures more of the mischievious side of David and he gets into more silly situations, some rehashed from precious books, and other new shenanigans. My 4 year loved the story and the pictures. It’s a must for any fan of David Shannon.

Sad Story

This was a sad story for my daughter. The brothers kept fighting and she didn't enjoy it. She loves all the other David books just not this one.

Great book that my Autistic son loves to read.

My 7 year old has autism and hyperlexia and he found this series through YouTube with the read along videos, I bought him 3 of the books so far and when they arrived the smile on my son's face was so contagious! My son can read these books all day long and I suppose he can relate given that he's autistic and not like other children. I've decided to start buying each David book for my son. So I hope the author keeps writing and making more of them!

LIbrarian recommended

I'm a children's librarian. When I first read this latest in the bad kid David books I was a little disappointed. I didn't think it was as funny as the previous David books. However, since David is a fan favorite, I read it to a group. It works really well as a read aloud. Every time I read it to groups, the children check out all the copies we have in the library. It's a hit. I bought it for my little niece, and her big brother (age 8) stopped opening Christmas presents so he could read it right then on Christmas morning. Definite hit.

My grandson's favorite books!

My grandson actually searched out and found YouTube videos that have these books in either simple animated formats, or being read aloud page-by-page, and the little guy loves that he can follow along. I swear, if this isn't helping him learn to read by recognition and repetition, than I don't know what reading is. I'm so blown away by how well he's doing. He's on the Autism spectrum, so communication and socialization were always things we were led to believe he'd struggle with, but his vocalization and communication skills have vastly improved in just 4 months, with these books and the accompanying videos.
He may like it when I read a book to him, but he loves it more when he's the one reading to me.

Unacceptable Detrimental Book for children of any age...

This book was disturbingly abusive & inappropriate in story words & intense extreme anger illustrations, for any children of any age to read, especially 4-5 yrs ? It’s certainly an inappropriate model of interaction between 2 children, the levels of emotional rage & hate seen is unacceptable detrimental material ! This book I do not recommend!

Nothing but a big brother treating his little brother terribly.

Hard to believe the positive reviews are abojt this book. After reading page after page of big brother treating little brother terribly, with no redeeming message, you're left wondering where these kids' parents are and why you bought this book. Wish osme reviews had warned us what a terrible theme this has.

Great addition to our collection.

Lovely addition to our collection of all the other DAVID books. My grandchildren LOVE it as well as all the others. There aren’t always a lot of words on the page but we get to chat about the pictures and learn lessons from what is done by David and others.
