Great 1st Set

Haikyuu!! 29 only focuses on the latter stages of the first set of the Inarizaki v Karasuno match. Unfortunately, the volume ends in the cruelest of ways thus meaning we must wait for the next volume to see if Karasuno saves the ball and wins the set. Oh well.

Good content overall, the Inarizakis, especially the Miya’s but also Aran are really carrying the team forward. Miya’s personalities work well to really make Inarizaki come to life. Additionally, the cheer squad with the Inarizakis is pretty good (loved that praise was given to the school that Furudate was able to use to get inspiration for drawing them).
For Karasuno, interactions between Hinata and Tsukishima were great and perhaps in contrast to those with Hinata and Kageyama, wherein Kageyama appears to consistently say anything Hinata did well was a fluke, while Tsukishima seems to trust in his abilities and not act that surprised at things. For Tsukishima, seeing Kageyama, at least, push him to jump higher in yet another match was a phenomenal panel. Oh, how cruel King Kageyama is.

Overall nice panels, great action, and fun content. The bonus story was also hilarious.
