  • When Michael Lewis became a father, he decided to keep a written record of what actually happened immediately after the birth of each of his three children. This book is that record. But it is also something else: maybe the funniest, most unsparing account of ordinary daily household life ever recorded, from the point of view of the man inside. The remarkable thing about this story isn’t that Lewis is so unusual. It’s that he is so typical. The only wonder is that his wife has allowed him to publish it.

Hilarious

This is a book every dad wishes he was able to write. Hilarious collection of stories of his attempts at fatherhood.

Entertaining read!

This definitely puts a different perspective on fatherhood. Everyone's experience is circumstantially different, but the obstacles are generally the same, Lewis's anecdote is entertaining, enlightening, and realistic.

Funny and Entertaining

As an expectant father and a follower of financial markets I knew I had to read a book about fatherhood written by someone with a financial background. To enjoy this book you have to understand Michael Lewis' sense of humor. He is brutally honest about himself and how he approached fatherhood. This isn't a "how-to" book at all but a journal written by a father of 3 children he is very proud of and would do anything for.
