good for either ESL class or music class

Since the text follows a simple pattern, the book is good for teaching English as a foreign language. Here in Korea, I have had students ask me to read it again.
It is also good for a lesson on spoken intonation. The children enjoy playing the xylophone on C-E-A-G-G-G while I read "but it wasn't spilt milk."

My son's favorite

This is by far my son's favorite book. We found out about it through his daycare, that told us he is obsessed with it. I bought it right away, of course, and I couldn't believe how such a simple children's book could bring my 2 year old son so much joy! Everytime we pick up this book my son gets excited and he loves to go along with me. His favorite part is when we get to the birthday cake and sing 'Happy Birthday'. Every time I say "But it wasn't ___" he says "No no no!" It's so cute to watch him get so much enjoyment. We love this book!

A classic for every collection

This Book encourages vocabulary and imagination. It's a reminder to sit on your back outside, look up into the sky and name the shapes you see. Use your imagination! You'll be surprised by the rich stories you can come up with. No clouds? Use white paint on blue paper or look for patterns, shapes and design in the wall and ceiling paint in your house.

It looked like spilt milk

Awesome book for children 2 to 6. It allows a child's imagination to soar. The next time you go outside and the puffy clouds are all about, you will truly appreciate having read this book to your child. Highly recommend

Beginning book

Great book to read with young children. Use toilet tissue to illustrate with book. (Let the child pretend the tissue is a cloud.

Missing the owl

The book itself is fine. But my 2.5 y/o granddaughter keeps asking about the great horned owl! It's one of her favorite books but when we get to where the owl should be she get thisblook like whered it go?! I really hate when board books make unnecessary changes.

There was a green crayon large x written across EVERY page.

The pages of the book were intact. The green crayon large X on each page did not meet the criteria for excellent condition. I needed the book for my preschool class. I was able to remove most of the crayon with baking soda and a paper towel and a lot of “ elbow grease” (effort) on my part. If I had been able to obtain another copy in my time frame, I would have returned the book.
