Title Changes

I have enjoyed the books of P.G. Wodehouse for nearly 40 years, and yet have not read them all. I spotted this title, which I did not recognize, offered at a good price and ordered it. Turns out I owned the book under a different title. I can't imagine why publishers would do that other than to trick people like me into buying the same book twice.

Anyhow, it's a great piece of classic Wodehouse story-telling, and by whatever title, well worth reading.

Almost perfect

Book arrived safely however I realize it’s a small thing but had a sticky price tag on it. Taking that off was horrific. Wodehouse is always fun.

That Bertie!

Never met a Jeeves I didn't like. Laughed out loud, which is rare.

Needs more Jeeves

The story has all of the great elements for a Wodehouse - Aunt Dahlia, overnight guests at Aunt Dahlia's house, a butler names Swordfish (who is really Sir Dr. Rodney Glossop, an alienist), 2 couples in love who keep breaking up and re-engaging with one another, a dachshund, a cat and an ex-boarding school master who is threatening a libel suit, but...there is very little Jeeves.

Giving Wodehouse 4 stars really isn't fair, because I'm comparing this story to his others. Thus, it earns 4 stars but, compared to every other comedic author, it's really 5 stars.
