Features & Highlights

  • Assassin-for-hire Kade Dennon knows exactly who he is: a soulless killer who can’t be saved. And he thinks he’s fine with that…until he meets Kathleen. Beautiful, kind, and tough as nails, Kathleen Turner is nothing like the nameless one-night stands Kade usually goes for. Just being around her makes the hardened hit man feel emotions he never thought were possible. There’s just one problem: Kathleen is dating Kade’s brother, hotshot attorney Blane Kirk.
  • When a shadowy figure starts threatening Kathleen’s life and forces Blane to lose a high-stakes trial, Kade is thrown into the role of reluctant bodyguard for the most captivating woman he’s ever known. For a man who spends his life taking down murderers and psychopaths, this battle against his feelings might prove to be the fight of his life.

Great reads

I loved the whole series from Tiffany Snow. I could not put the books down. I thought they would get boring after the third book but they still kept me into them all through the 5 books. Then I decided the try the companion books, Blane's Turen and Kade's Turn. They were also good. A great writer for a first time writer. I will be sure to read her other series.

Kade is my favorite character

Kade Dennon seems like a complicated guy from Kathleen's perspective, but at the same time, she has a deep compassion towards him that doesn't allow her to hate or despite him for long, until Kade does or says something to piss her off again. Still, I absolutely love Kade, in a different way than I love Blane, who is a great guy, but not the one I'm rooting for. Kade is extremely prickly and harsh on the outside, he doesn't let people in easily and it's nearly impossible to be someone he cares about, outside of his family of his brother, Mona and Gerard. Kade's Turn shows what's going in Kade's mind from Turn To Me. Why he behaves a certain way with Kathleen and how those feelings test his relationship with Blane. It also gave me a different view of Blane, too, because Kade knows him better than anyone and can read both Blane and Kathleen like a book. Which is ironic considering that Blane and Kathleen do not read each other nearly as clearly. Kade has seen both Blane and Kathleen at some very vulnerable or truthful moments and vice versa. So when I reflect on Blane and Kathleen's relationship, I do see a lack of that raw honesty between them, but also the disparity that exists, too. Blane balances out Kathleen well, but Kade is a lot like Kathleen when it comes to predicting patterns of behavior because they have similar wounds. Having further insight to Kade also shows what a big deal it is when he devotes his loyalty to someone and actually expresses it, because Kade knows that he has skills, but he doesn't think he has a future worthy of redemption or happiness. Yet, Kade's heart is larger and more self-sacrificing than he realizes, which creates a character that I can't resist advocating for. I can't wait to see where this story goes next with the elements of romance, suspense and turbulent emotions.
