Great figure, good book!

If you have the other books for the other Lego lines ( like I do ), you'll know what to expect. A lot great pics, good information and a really nice Batman mini figure from the direct to dvd movie. Nothing really new to the formula though.

Tons of Info for a Little Price

Little man wanted this book from BAM! but it was over $20.I purchased this for him and he loves it. It has all of the DC super heroes along with a few characters I have not heard of but he and hubby seemed to know. It even came with a little lego guy. The best part is it tells you all about each character and even gives a lot of hints and facts about each one. I had no idea there were so many DC characters. If your kid is like mine and loves to read and loves the LEGO series games and movies then get him this book. Not only are you saving money but you look like a superhero because you bought them exactly what they wanted even if they didn't know they wanted this book. Trust me they want this book!

Aaarrrgghh... LEGO pirate Batman

I'm a fan of this LEGO book.

There's something for everyone with this book... especially if you're into the DC super heroes characters. Even if DC super heroes aren't your jam, this book is still an enjoyable read and experience. There are over 200 pages in this book and all the visuals are of a high quality. The actual pages of the book are a heavier weight and appear that they will hold up well over time. As you can see in my images, the book appears thicker than it is when considering actual reading pages. A decent portion of the thickness is a result of the exclusive Batman pirate minifig (which is awesome by the way).

About the minifig... it's exclusive which means you won't find it in any other LEGO set. It's a nicely detailed minifig and honestly is a big reason I'm sure many LEGO fans purchased this book. Don't get me wrong, the book is great, but the minifig is one-of-a-kind.

In closing, this book does a great job of documenting and going through all the DC LEGO super hero sets for the past 10+ years, which is nice if you're looking for nostalgia or if you're simply wanting to see how sets have evolved and changed over the years.

Happy bricking.

not what I thought it was

I was expecting a good intro to super hero’s with descriptions for my 5 year old as he loves super hero’s but that is not what this is. they described the “likes” with things like “take naps”, so it’s not a real encyclopedia to super hero’s it’s more like a catalog and your kid won’t learn anything about these characters, just fake non sense stuff.

Great value

This book is really awesome!! When I ordered, I didn't even realize it includes a pirate batman Lego guy!! Even without the guy, the price is well worth it. I can't wait to give it to my son for his birthday!!!

Yep, buy this one.

My seven-year-old son loves this book. He's still a little too young for the big comic book movies (way too young, in some cases) but since super heroes are absolutely everywhere right now, he's extremely interested in finding out more about them. So this is the perfect introduction the the DC universe, lacquered over with all of the innocent charm of Lego. Whether or not you like the (admittedly often provocative) artwork in regular comics, it's tough to argue against characters who have all the sex appeal of colorful toasters. It's surprisingly long and chock full of great tidbits about all of the better-known characters. I love watching the wonder on his little face as he learns about these awesome worlds for the very first time. Highly recommended.

Nice minifig and info

I bought this and the Lego Batman Visual Dictionary together to obtain the Electro Suit and Pirate Batman minifigs. Pirate Batman includes accessories -- a soft cape, a cutlass sword, and a ball-and-chain flail. The flail is a solid piece of plastic with non-moving parts. I suppose the only downside to this book is that it's already "outdated" as Lego will release a new Nightwing minifig and two big Batman sets later in 2016.

Love this book

Love this book. The format is great. The photos are clean, crisp, cool! Great bonus getting the Batman Pirate that you can re-seal into the book if you wish. Cool write-ups on the Lego designers. Only downside, made in China.

Absolutely brilliant! I have a 3 year son abscessed with Lego figurines and this was perfect! He has had it tucked under his arm for a week now. I'm hoping they make or have more like this one!

Everything Lego DC comics Super Heroes from 2006 - 2016 at a great price.

My 6 year old son is absolutely fascinated with the world of Batman and the Justice League, and let's not forget all the villains necessary to showcase the super powers of these super heroes. This is an encyclopedia of all things DC Super Heroes chronicled from 2006 to 2016. Very fun and artistic demonstration of each character and/or vehicles with brief histories, Bios, and, friend/foe lists. Each character/vehicle has its own full page. High resolution printing and the Batman Lego character in the cover is very well decorated. Book is sturdy and pages are thick which allow it to hold up to discovering hands of young children. Definitely worth the value in my honest opinion.
