Description

“ Let's Go to the Potty is the perfect how-to guide for little ones embarking on their potty-training journey! Simple, encouraging instructions (and a helpful song) arm kiddos with everything they need to know, without any confusing, unnecessary extras.” —Lauren Gehringer, Author of From Chewing to Pooing: Food's Journey Through Your Body to the Potty “Finally, a potty book that addresses urge! Let’s Go to the Potty is one of the few potty books that explains to kids the need to listen to their body to know when to go. This book is sweet, yet complete. Allison does a great job describing the process from being on a diaper to understanding accidents are OK, and celebrating success. Look no more, start your potty training journey here.” —Shelly Rosenthal Kleiman, PT, Pediatric Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist “As a dad of three, including twins, I've had my fair share of potty training experiences... and accidents. It can be frustrating for both sides. Allison Jandu uses supportive, comforting, and easily understood language so that toddlers can have the best potty training experience possible. It would have come in handy when my kids were learning, and saved me on cleaning spray, too! It's a must-read for young ones, and a parent's best friend during that period of life.” —Andrew Shaw, Creator of Instafather and Author of The Guys' Guide to Being a Birth Partner ALLISON JANDU is a professional consultant and thrives on helping children obtain newfound pride and independence by learning to use the potty and leave the diapers behind.

Kiddo loves this

My son is training and uses this every time he's on the porcelain pony. First one went in the bathtub and the second one I bought was hardcover for added durability.

Longer than expected

This book has many many pages, each page is short with very large text, but there are many more pages than I expected for a potty book. This is not a board book and the pages are not stiff, so I wouldn’t read it to your toddler if they are not gentle with paper pages. The concepts are good though, it offers gentle support and encouragement. I got in in preparation for potty training so I won’t be reading this book to my son just yet, but I do think this potty book will be better that some of the others I’ve seen because it doesn’t mention bribing, or that accidents are bad, or that it is wrong to not want to be a “big boy”.

Creative and Fun…

I love this book. It is easy to read and understand. After reading this book to my granddaughter twice, she picked the book up and started trying to read it on her own. Whenever my little one sees this book she flashes a big smile and heads for the potty.

Paper thin pages

Okay… I paid the extra $2 or whatever for the hardcover thinking it would be a “sturdy” book for my little one and the pages are paper thin like ridiculously thin. I’m sure it’s going to ruin easily. Also, I will still have my baby in diapers while doing elimination communication and as someone else mentioned there’s diaper shaming in the book. Definitely returning.

Awesome potty book

I love that the toddler shows diversity. We can look at the pictures and make up our story to correlate with the actual words.
