Little Quack's Bedtime

One of the best children’s series. We’ve purchased every Little Quack book, and they are all perfect for kids 1-3. The thick cardboard also keeps them protected.

Cute story, but fonts are tiny and hard to read -- black on blue background. Really hard to read in low lighting at bedtime.

My 3 years old grandson was scared of going to bed becasue he was scared of the dark, when my gradaughter read to him this booklet he listened to it and asked questions alot but all his fears had disapeared. He also has the booklet of Hide And Seek but this booklet he perfers more he askes me and his parents to read him this booklet over and over he knows it by heart and he goes to sleep snuggling up with this booklet and snugglses with Hide and Seek but he loves this booklet more since it realated to his fears which had disappeared he knows this booklet by heart and when ever it is read to him he not only repeats the story but follows the story line and before I even get to finish the booklet he already tells me what the next page will say and he is correct.
This booklet got him out of his fears the way it explained how the night that is there is for the stars to come out the OHH OHH Sound is of the owel and so much more. Hide And Seek was his number one booklet but now it is Little Quack Beditem Book and he will not go to sleep unless it is by his side. This and Hide and Seeks is one of the best purches I made. Seeing how much he loves them both especially the Little Quacks Bedtime booklet

This book, "Little Quack's Bedtime" is exactly that. Little Quack is one of five ducklings that falls sleep the last in the book.

1. The story revolves around five ducklings in their bed time. But each one is disturbed by what they see and what they hear. Until the "moma duck" eases their fear by explaining them. Then, one by one, falls into sleep. That's it. This is the story.
2. The purpose of story seems to be that mothers can ease children's fears by being close to them. (But I couldn't stop think about those kids without their mothers... then this book might not be good for them).
3. The physical book itself is strong and sturdy.
4. The illustrations are well drawn and the colors are rich.

Overall, I like the book (and my son liked it too), but I just thought it could have been better as far as storyline was concerned. Additionally, the price (as of now, $7.99 in Amazon) seems to be too stiff for the product.

I love these series but this book is just long for a toddler. I know it’s a bed story but my son doesn’t seem interested at all.

This is by far my favorite book I received when my son was born. I was given the hardcover version, which is big with beautifully colored pictures. I love this little story about widdle, waddle, piddle, puddle, and little quack. Especially when Little quack asks his mother why oh why is the night so dark? This and Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site are our favorites for bedtime!

Little Quack is a duckling with four siblings. In every Little Quack story, the five ducklings do something one at a time, with Little Quack either the first or the last to get on board (with, e.g., swimming, or making friends with a playful frog, or being found at hide and seek). In this story, Little Quack is the last to fall asleep, each duckling in turn having been soothed to sleep by Mama Duck after mistaking some nighttime silhouette or sound for a danger.

Little Quack stories are great for young kids. The illustrations are colorful, accessible and cute. The boardbook I am looking at seems robustly constructed and handsome.

I have bought several copies of this sweet bedtime story for parents with little ones over the last decade or so. Great use of repetition for counting - to five and backwards. Wonderful illustrations and imagery. This Christmas I had difficulty finding as many copies as I wanted for some reason though.
