I like it!

This is a fun comic, and while I'm not crazy about some of the color choices for the characters because they don't match book descriptions (I'm assuming it was done for artistic reasons, perhaps to give more "pop" or something)I thought this was a nice graphic novel.

It's a quick read, but I love the Mercy Thompson books and am glad to have it on my shelf. I'm glad I waited to buy it at about 50% off the sticker price, because I do think that was too high for what you're getting here, but it's a nice piece to add to your collection if you're a fan of the series.

Interesting Approach

I liked it. Nice to see a visual view of characters we have grown to love. I bought this not realising that it was a comic version but enjoyed it anyway. I imagined some of the characters totally differently but I suppose that's the joy of the written book. We can imagine characters any way we like!!
A small view into Mercy's introduction to the area she comes to know as home and her intro to Adam. Worth reading!

Oh, Mercy

Good to ok artwork, recognisable story (prequel to the Mercy books, with same characters) of how Mercy came to end up in the VW workshop, complete with in-jokes. Some small fact nuggets (Adam already lives behind her trailer, in the books he builds there afterwards) annoying to sticklers, but overall a nice addition to the Mercy universe.
