Good mystery but no humorous parts mixed in.

The book was interesting and kept my attention and the character development was good.
I was personally disappointed because some of the information I read stated that there were hilarious parts mixed in with the mystery which totally appeals to me. However I didn’t laugh once ☹️
It doesn’t mean the book wasn’t good, just not what I was expecting.

Careful drinking while reading!

Love Donna Andrews and this early Meg Langslow is one of her funnier books. This is a third read for me and I still laughed out loud, unfortunately, at the same time I was trying to swallow tea! Michael may be too good to be true, but darn it, I like him, snd the whole cast and crew.

Good Series

I like the main character in this series. She's smart, level headed and not cute and petite but tall and normal. Her beau, however, is a hunk of a guy. She cannot seem to turn her back on a situation when she thinks she can help. In the end, she does better than the police and solves mysteries a batch. also like the cranky dog who only likes her and one other person. She, on the other hand, is not overly fond of it since it does not have a loving dispostion. However, it was a help in the end. I'll read the next.
