This book is a wonderful guide to Mythology

This book is a wonderful guide to Mythology. It reminds of the D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths, but for older students. One thing I especially like about this book is how the sources of each story are causally noted. So, while you are engrossed in enjoying the story, you're also learning where it came from (Ovid, Homer, Hesiod, etc.). It's all very well done!

A good introduction

I bought this for my 13 year-old grandson, who is rather precious intellectually, to introduce him to an important part of the western cultural tradition. He is reading it avidly, and while he has to stop and ask questions sometimes, I am very pleased - because it does prompt him to ask questions.
