NLT Life Application Study Bible, Second Edition, Personal Size (LeatherLike, Gray Lace/Juniper)

I bought this bible for myself after buying the same version (different cover) for my husband for Christmas. I did a lot of research and decided that the NLT translation was best for us, and I liked the additional information of this study version.

The bible itself is small yet chunky. It's quite thick but not overly heavy. My friend has the same bible in a larger format and it is like carrying around a brick! The text is small and I do find myself squinting to read the supplementary text, which is smaller than the actual versus. But with fairly decent vision and adequate lighting, it's not too bad.

One defect my bible had was the title page (maybe 4th or 5th page) was folded in upon arrival. When I unfolded it, it had evidently been missed by the machine that cut all the other pages with rounded edges and stuck out about 1/8". I tried to trim it and cut the corners myself, but got fed up and wound up just tearing that one page out. It's just the title page, so no big deal, but it still annoyed me.

All and all, I'd say this is a great bible for someone interested in casually studying the Word more! And the fact that it has such a beautiful cover makes it even more special.

I love everything about this Bible. It looks great on the outside, I love the colors and design, but it's what is inside that is a life changer! I've never been able to read through the Bible before, but this NLT is written so that I am able to read and understand so much better than ever. Yes the writing is smaller but there is so much information and it's small enough for me to take with me when I go on the road. I ended up buying the pink and brown full sized version for my sister for her birthday and she loves it also. I would recommend it to anyone.

I got this Bibke for my sister (and one for myself- a different color and size). She absolutely loves it. The only things is, that I wasn't expecting it to be a smaller size than mine. (I probably should have read the print carefully "personal size.") For my vision, it probably would have been hard to read, but it is great for my sister. I just love Life Application Study Bible in general. Praise God for HisWord, which is breathed by Him.

Purchased as a gift because I had purchased one for myself earlier and loved it. My daughter is extremely pleased.

I really don't like this Bible. If it wasn't God's word...I would send it straight back. I don't like the pages, the font is small, and it is nothing like I thought it would be. Very disappointed. :(

Print is smaller than expected

The content is great but th epages are so absolutely thin I have to be very careful with it.
