With just scissors and glue and the templates already in the book, kids can get right to crafting! My kids were able to make their own creations with very little assistance. The designs are whimsical and fun too!” —Agnes Hsu About the Author STEFANIA LUCA was born in Romania and lived in Belgium for a while before moving to the United States. Cute ideas but cutting requires a lot of adult help

The age recommendation on this book is not accurate in my opinion. I bought it for my granddaughter who just turned 5. Her painting and alphabet/number drawing skills are very good, but she is not very accomplished with scissors yet -- I don't think most preschoolers are. Some of the patterns in this book are easy, but they must not be the most appealing to our 5 year old because she doesn't ever choose them. She has picked out the robot and the hedgehog and they both required cutting skills beyond what a 5 year old would have, even though the book says for ages 4-8. If a craft book says "for kids" then the kids ought to be able to actually DO the craft themselves!

Wonderful book with awesome projects and excellent quality of paper!

[[VIDEOID:d8f6867fe94fe958e8197f0234bf745]] Hi everyone! I got this book for my 5yo and she loves it! The instructor is very clear, she was able to do most of the protects without any help. The paper quality is excellent, it’s thick and easy to hold, cut and glue. I buy a lot of activity books and don’t remember a book with such a good quality of paper. The only minor thing I would change is to make pages perforated, but I guess it’s all good and more cutting for a child. All the protects are colorful and fun to do, it takes my daughter about 20-30 minutes to finish each of them and gives me the same time to enjoy a well deserved cup of coffee in peace. I like that the protects do not require a lot of materials, usually it’s just scissors, crayons and glue. Sometimes they call for such things almost everyone has at home like paper roll, pipe cleaners or a straw. I saw that they published the second book of paper craft and going to buy it too. I hope this review was helpful and happy crafting!

4-year old addicted to it

Before you get this, your kid should have a good quality pair of scissors (probably several), and some cutting practice. I had gotten these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XPT1LJQ/

This was the best workbook I have gotten for my just-turned-4 kid who is on a rampage through this book front to back.

The variety provides something surprising frequently enough. Even toward the end of it, they're throwing in some new trick that will obviously be new to a child. Each exercise has instructions that an adult needs to go over. Kids also need help to tear out the pages, because the line to cut is so close to the binding. This has provided enough of a breather between projects. Most projects (but not all) will also need some help beyond cutting to assemble, but this is the fast part.

The only heads-up I would give is to read in advance what materials are needed, because your kid will not be happy to skip any of these.

Paper Crafts Book

The projects are printed on heavy paper & very colorful! I did these with my Grand kids. We had fun doing them & they were easy to understand & follow the directions. The only drawback is you would need a book for each child.

perfect!

My 7 year old LOVES these crafts. simple cut and folding origami, (which they then could recreate on plain paper HUGE BONUS).
my 5 year old is very jealous of how simple but fun this book is, we might just order another.
fully colored pages, clear easy to read instructions
the cover shows a perfect example of what is in the whole book.

Fun projects

There is a good variety of projects in this book, with templates in the back to cut out and assembly instructions. Some of the templates are full color, and I think it might be more fun for kids to color their own for all the items. Some of the templates are also already illustrated - i.e. people have faces. I guess it depends on whether your child likes assembling or whether they also want to color. It seems like a fun book.
I received a copy of this title directly from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Very cute book

My kids loved all the different activities. There is not a list of all the tools/supplies used in all the crafts to buy at once, you have to go to each page to find out if anything else is needed, but the kids loved doing the crafts. Super cute.

Consumable cut and glue activity book for little kids

Here’s my 7-year-old’s review: “It had good instructions, but it’s good for younger kids because you have to cut out the crafts instead of being creative.” I received a free digital review copy from the publisher, so I asked her if she wanted me to print out anything (since the book is useless if you don’t have the pages in the back to rip out). She said don’t bother; she has more fun with all the craft books she gets from the library where there’s more freedom for creativity.
