***5 ‘To The People Who Feel Like Sunshine’ Stars***

While reading the tease aka the first 12 chapters of Storm in My Night With a Rock Star , I kept thinking “Ok. I’m feeling this. I’m liking Storm and Lotus” so my interest in their journey kept growing and then the first twist hit and I went “Hmmmmm”. But then the next couple of bombs that were dropped had my head spinning and I’ll admit that I waffled between wariness and intense curiosity as to how everything would end up playing out...especially with all that happened in that 12th chapter.

Well, curiosity won out (no surprise there) ~ though the whole 66 chapters + epilogue thing did have me going ‘Whoa” and in the end I have to say that this baby was all kinds of goodness. It was a fun, sweet and hot read with a whole lot of heart and just the right amount of drama/angst to keep things interesting right up to the very end.

I ended up adoring Storm and Lotus, they both had me growling in frustration at times, but I still adored them. For all that Storm is closed off, he’s quite genuine. He goes where his heart and emotions take him, even if he shouldn’t, and isn’t afraid to speak his mind when necessary. Lotus is a sweetheart. Her heart is bruised, but not broken. She’s gone through a lot in her young life, but still has this openness about that at times makes her a little too trusting, but she owns it and comes out stronger for it.

Their journey to their HEA is definitely an interesting one ~ those twists, man. But the one thing that jumped off the page from the start was just how well they fit together. They had a flow that worked, even when things got rocky, and I was happy with how everything worked out for them in the end.

I will admit that I was a bit afraid that this would turn out to be an OTT angst-fest, especially with how things were left after chapter 12, but it wasn’t. There was angst, but it was necessary for the growth of the characters and it was handled well and the sweet and heat definitely balanced everything out. I loved catching up with the Dogs, but it was the newbies that had me all kinds of happy. I ADORED Sophia and Cork ~ these two were all kinds of everything ~ but I can’t say that Saber and Shield didn’t fascinate me, so I’m crossing my toes that we’ll get to hangout with the this new crew in the future!

Michelle Mankin takes us through a Storm all right. This story of childhood friends Coming into changes into adulthood sends you on many waves of emotions. I don’t want to give spoilers. The Journey that the two main characters go on is intense and rightfully so. You will not be disappointed with this book!!

This is a beautifully written book in a style we have grown to love from Michelle. The characters lives ebb and flow much like the waves of the ocean they love to surf on.
This book brings in many of the characters we know from past books.
Its a hard rocking love story one that I believe is another surfboard star in Michelle Mankins cap

Michelle hit this one out of the park! I LOVED Storm, and Lotus though she let Saber walk all over her I loved how honest she was.
I do think that Storm should have just told Lotus who he was but we needed that aspect of this story so Lotus could fall in love with Journey and not the memory of Storm. I really feel like Storm needed that as well. I’d love to see more on Storm’s brothers and Cork!

There really is t much I can say without totally giving away the whole book but this one I will say was pretty emotional. I have a feeling Saber and Sophia may be a great couple with all their angst with one another.

Getting a chance to read this book early just before my birthday was the best birthday gift, and I can’t wait to read whatever Michelle has come out next.

I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC for this book. Like all of Michele's books, it doesn't disappoint. This story made me laugh and made me cry on the same page. Thank you, Michele. I eagerly await the next in this series.

This is a friends to lovers book, but it's not your typical story. The book starts out with how the two main characters meet. Lotus and Storm become best friends, but Storm leaves when he's a teen and doesn't return until he sees Lotus nine years later. Storm has changed physically, so she doesn't recognize him when they meet up. I can't go into the details of the book because I don't want to spoil it, but I really enjoyed how their relationship didn't really change much from their childhood. Lotus never stopped loving and missing Storm and Storm could never find anyone that could replace Lotus. They were made for each other!

Also, the other characters...I look forward to reading about their stories too! I didn't want to put this book down and read way into the night and the following morning. I highly recommend this book!

“If you love something set it free, if it comes back it’s yours, if not it wasn’t meant to be” Lotus and Storm meet as children, each having a rough patch, but become each other’s rock. While Lotus has a dad and brother that are wonderful and good, Storm’s dad is mean and hateful, his brother’s seemingly following his path. At age 16 Storm leaves with nothing but the clothes on his back hoping for a better life, and hoping not to drag Lotus into the dark. Lotus is devastated at the loss of her best friend. Flash forward 9 years and the story takes such an emotional turn. I don’t like spoilers so I won’t go into more detail, but this story left me breathless. I was blown away by the author’s words and ability to completely encompass me and make the rest of the world fade away. This book is long, and oh so worth it. I loved the appearances by other series characters, and how well they intertwined while still leaving this story completely open to be standalone. I hope that there are more stories of OB Hardy in the future!

Oh man where has this story been all my adult life lol. I loved the story, I loved the many chapters, no more than anything, I loved the characters whole heartily.

Storm and Lotus made magic. I love their history. The emotions that the characters go through, well you feel like you take a journey right along. Those who read this book, will have a full understanding. I am a fan of Michelle Mankin, but Storm made me love her words more. This story will crash you and have you on your knees. The angst is gut wrenching and in the storm of it all, you come out breathing and feeling like you can take on the world. This story crept in and is under my skin.

We have so much going on and I am hoping we get more stories for Saber, Shield, Cork, Sophia and Tess. I feel like they have stories to be told!!! I am not ready to let these character go yet!

Ok, I was so honored to be an ARC reader for this book it has all the feels if you like books about the beach life, Rock n Roll and most of all true love then you have to read this book!!! You need to have a tissue box handy because your going to laugh and cry and sometimes at the same time! This book is relatable even though it is about a rock star. The main characters have so much chemistry it comes of the pages. I’m not going to give spoilers. This book is about finding that one person and losing them and not knowing if you will get them back but remembering the things you learned from that person and becoming your best self!
