Sweeping country setting

The concept is interesting- parallel lives separated by generations. The backdrop of WWII is always engaging but war ends up not being a strong theme. The book is very readable, although heavy foreshadowing overcomes the element of surprise. I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Suspense, history, and danger all in a love story

This book is a wonderful mix of history, love and danger! The characters come to life and I felt I was there in Summerhill with them. My mother’s Secret is also a great read.

For those seeking an enthralling read!

Couldn't put it down. This is a beautifully written story full of captivating characters. You see and feel them with each chapter. The contrast between present day and WWII, is engaging and made me want to read faster to see how the two parallel storylines unfolded. An excellent and very enjoyable read!
