Good for Kids that already have an understanding of addition

This is a fantastically written book for kids that have been exposed to family members or others they are close with that have addiction issues. I got it for my children (8 years and 11 years) and they have been using it as a reference for a loved one. For example, the book discusses Sunny's brother going to rehab, and the anger and moodiness were portrayed as part of that experience. My daughter knew that her loved one getting help would also be angry and grumpy as she had read about it in the book. For kids that have lived Sunny's experiences (or similar) this helps make things a little more understandable.

My daughter loves these books. Only reason for 4 stars, instead of 5, is because the binding is terrible. She hadn’t even finished reading the books when the glue (which actually looks/feels like wax) decided it wasn’t going to hold anymore.

These books are so fun to read, Sunny just sucks you into the story like you're there with her. I would have definitely rated it five stars if it wasn't for on thing, the packaging was damaged! Also some of the book pages were bent. But teriffic (as sunny would say), book.
