I’d give it 10 stars if I could! A win for many ages and a perfect gift.

We have a variety of ages in our house- and every single kiddo has found something they love in this book! Our third grader does refined free hand practice, while the toddler jumps in with lines and tracing. It is hard to find something so captivating for different ages. In this challenging time of filling many hours at home while also wanting to expand our kiddos’ minds and skill sets- How to Draw is coming through!

Side note but also important: the book is super cute and high quality! Meaning I am proud to gift this for birthdays and Christmas with a set of colored pencils and know that the adults and kids alike will be impressed!

Misprint

[[VIDEOID:26727fdd6f67b74af37639d3f660358b]] While the drawings are great, there is a 240 something page biography in another language right in the middle of the book.

Big hit with my little one!

We’re months into stay at home time and we received an advanced reader copy of How to draw for kids and it was a huge hit! My almost 6 year old daughter immediately squealed and swooned upon seeing the cover - this book has all of her favorite things! Unicorns! Mermaids! Ice cream! Spaceships! It got her engaged right away and she immediately grapped paper and markers to start drawing. It’s kept her attention since we’ve gotten the book and she comes back to it every couple days to try another drawing. I’ve now ordered more to stash into Christmas gifts for other little kids!

Cute, Fun, Delightful Workbook!

I received an advanced reader copy of this workbook, and it is SO CUTE! Every single illustration is adorable and creative, and the process of drawing cute things is FUN and UPLIFTING (which we all need in 2020!).

Each drawing has an easy-to-follow step-by-step guide that builds confidence in every artist. All of my older children (ages 10, 9, and 7) found this workbook engaging. One of my kids really struggles to draw and this workbook helped him feel more comfortable with drawing. Another child loves to draw and used this guide as a foundation for her more detailed creations. This workbook is a win for everyone!

The best drawing book for kids you will find.

The perfect book for kids to learn on a basic level with lines. Each page has dark lines for the kids to follow along with. Not only on paper I sat on the driveway with my grandkids and we used the book to cover the driveway with amazing drawings. It was so much fun. Back to the book though not only does it help to learn to draw it brings great imagination for the kids from Princes and Princess in castles to great creatures under the sea. Just amazing. This book should be in all preschool and kinder classes to help kids understand drawing

A wonderful book for kids as young as 5 and as old as 11!

I received an advance readers' copy of this book and all three of my kids (ages 5, 8, and 11) love it! The book has been especially useful when the kids need something to keep their hands occupied (like in virtual church during a global pandemic). :) But both of my older kids have picked it up at other times as well, and I've been incredibly impressed with the things they have learned to draw. Sometimes workbook and activity books have a short life - the kids are really excited about them at first and then they either blaze through them too quickly or lose interest. But this book is worth every penny, and I have a sense that the kids are going to keep coming back to it again and again.

Cute drawings, lots of fun

Such a great purchase, we’ve been really happy with it. Bought it for our 5 year old daughter who started to show a little interest in drawing. She has really thrived trying out many of the tutorial drawings. There are a variety of styles/difficulties as well so she has been able to start with easier ones and work her way up. The step by step style is simple to understand and walks you through it nicely. We help on some by showing the process, but lately she’s been tackling them all on her own. The drawings often have little cute faces that our kid lives to emulate and draw. It’s also great how it allows for a wide variety of interests and skill levels. At an earlier age you can even start by using it to trace and get a feel for lines and shapes. If you’re looking for a drawing tutorial type book, I’d definitely recommend this one.

Great gift for any kid!

I received an advance reader copy of this book, and I have to say that it is definitely on my list of gifts for other kids we know!

My 4.5 year-old has really loved it. Even just looking at every page is fun! She's actually drawn from it, and used it for tracing as well. So many fun and cute illustrations to make using this book! Kids can use it as a guide and make their drawings their own. It's easy to follow and use and so cute you don't mind having it lying around when not in use. :) And like others have noted, the quality is great and isn't going to fall apart after hours of use. The paper weight is also great for if your kids decided to draw in it.
