My Review
The Thin Edge is a fantastic detective novel that is brilliantly written. The characters are well written and the story-line keeps you interested until the very end.

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. It's the kind of book you definitely want to read. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys a truly great detective story.

Loved an Aloa sequel with intrigue and suspense. Made me want to read another Aloa adventure.

I enjoyed The Thin Edge even more than the first Aloa Snow book. It heightened some of the things I liked most about the first book--the complexity, competence, and badassery of Aloa; spending time with the quirky Justus/ Brain Farm communities; and being immersed in the San Francisco setting. I especially appreciated the moodiness and pacing of this book--a wonderful read!

I LOVE Aloa Snow! After reading the first 2 books in this series, I am absolutely devoted to her and cannot wait for more!

I truly enjoyed reading this book, and read it right on the heels of "See her Run", the first in the series. I find Aloa to be very likeable, and the suspense level is perfect. There were lots of different things going on in this one, but I found that they came together very well in the end. As for the romance angles - I cannot wait to see who (if anyone) she ends up with. Loved it!

Intelligent, exciting writing. Good pacing. Cool characters. Compares favorably with other books/authors of this genre. This author's fan base will definitely increase with each new Aloa Snow mystery.

A good book takes the reader into the story, giving the characters enough backstory that they come to life. Peggy Townsend has written a good book. The cover and the jacket description are enough to pique a reader's interest, but the characters make this book. As I read, I got lost in the story and refused to quit until the end. It's rare to find an author that you know will make your reading time worth while. I just found another.

The Thin Edge is Peggy Townsend’s wonderful second novel in which she continues to develop the central character of Aloa Snow, a gritty, determined and insightful journalist who Townsend introduced in her debut novel See Her Run. Snow is able to apply her investigative journalist skills to help solve crime and bring justice, while working through her own personal flaws and issues. In The Thin Edge Townsend creates characters that come to life and a story line that keeps the reader turning pages to find out how the mystery will end and what twists of plot lay ahead. Townsend sets her novel in San Francisco, and beautifully describes the contours and nitches of the City, while also treating the reader to many facets of the City’s history and the effects of fog on the City’s urban-scape and its denizens. She also uses her story to cast a keen and empathetic eye on the City’s homeless. This is so much more than a murder-mystery, but the mystery itself is gripping, with plenty of plot twists and turns, and a satisfying — if unexpected — ending. Enjoy. And lets hope that we get to see Aloa in another novel soon.
