Sequals are too dark for 8-12 year olds

The first book was great, I checked it out at the library for a quick fun read and, fell in love with the world of Artime. But don't waste your time on the squeals. The next six books seem to be one continuations story. There is no story resolution at the end of each book, just more problems, and cliffhangers. Not to mention some pretty awful things (torture, murder/death) happening to the main characters, especially for a book geared toward 8-12 year olds.

Great buy

I bought this series for my 10 year old son after he read The first book in Unwanteds Quest series. We received the books on Friday and it is Sunday afternoon and he has almost finished the first one. I would recommend this series for anyone that loves fantasy and can read at least on a fifth grade level.

I love this book set

I love this book set! Great read for middle schoolers. I know it says for readers 8 and up but I feel the content is better suited for those a bit older. I am reading them along with my kids.

Book 3 is missing pages 20-53 and the paging numbers are messed up. That means the storyline is messed up tool

Your little reader will be hooked!!

Bought book #1 for my 10 yo son (4th grade) for Christmas. He LOVED it so I bought the series (7 books). He barely puts them down. Tells me they are very fun and amusing. He’s had the series for a month now and is on the 6th book. He does read at a higher level, but the chapters are at a moderate reading level for a 4th grader. He loves this series so much that he wanted to share them .... he donated his first book to his teacher’s library.

Awesome Deal for the Entire Box Set!

My daughter just loves this book series and was reading Book 1 in school 4th Grade, when she told me she couldn't wait for 5th Grade Library so she could read the next book in the series, I just figured Summer Reading and had to get the entire set! The only thing I wished was the outer cover that holds all the books could have been made out of stronger cardboard because it already ripped and I would have like to keep this in mint condition but the books are too heavy for the flimsy cover box. Bad Manufacturing on the Publishers End - Oh Well!
