Damaged upon arrival

I bought this book new but when it arrived it looked like it had been chewed on by mice. I’m very unsatisfied due to this being a gift.

Great way to get a kid who loves video games to read!

My son loves video games, and he loves silly sci fi stories. So combining them in a book was the perfect way to get him more engaged with reading. We read it together, but my rising 2nd grader held his own pretty well, and more importantly, he was begging me to read it with him, which is a total win!

Great read!

My 10 year old is not a fan of reading unless it’s something that really catches his attention. He’s a gifted student and is easily bored by most books that are age appropriate for him. However, he loved this book! He read it in a day. I just ordered the next two in the series.

Kid read it in a night.....

I ordered this for my 9 year old for a little Valentine's day present. I was looking for a new series for him since he has really gotten into reading (he has read all the I Survived Books, Captain Underpants, dozens of Minecraft books....) and stumbled upon this. He started reading it after school and later was reading it at bedtime. I forgot to lay him down and walked by his room later and he was up reading it and was almost finished. He loved it!

Reading with fun

My 7 year old found some of the parts of the story to be witty. It was a fun book to read together, and there were sections he chose to re-read because it was well written with humor he could understand. I would recommend it.

Engaging books for kids and gamers

This book quickly became a favorite read for my young gamer. The story is both imaginative and a page-turner. The chapters often end with cliff hangers, so it might keep bedtime readers awake. We've read the second book in the series which is also good, and the third book is on its way. There is no bad language in the book, it's not scary, and it is a completely kid friendly book.

Nice easy kids read.

Wish there were more illustrations/pictures to attract kids more.. Can be little slow paced at some parts. Kids liked the first one but less for the second.

Cool book for my nephew

I wanted to get my nephew a book for Christmas instead of a video game. This is the best of both worlds! He loves to read and he loves video games. Perfect for him!
