Could've been better

I really liked E. D. Baker's first series and the first book of this series, but this one went down a little. Might be a bit of a SPOILER coming up. Her confusion with Liam was thrown in here or there but I felt it should have been a bigger part of this and the reason why was thrown out in about two lines and Annie just accepts it and the reader is supposed to too? It seemed like it was remembered at the last moment and tossed in to quickly try to resolve a lose end. What and where does it remotely imply that Liam's family doesn't show affection publicly? The dwarf turning so many people into animals might have been to make him more evil, but really it just got repetitive. I actually enjoyed the book, but because of these things I couldn't give it a better rating.

Great series

This is my favorite series from this author. There are three books in this set. The third is coming out soon and I look forward to reading it.
