starts out well, drags out way too long

first third of the book is great; characters not jumping into bed, drama not overdone, story realistic, just enough details, can relate to the characters. but after the first serious attempt on the life of the protagonist, they keep repeating in a similar manner - over and over - and no progress on their source - 2 thirds of the book does this - and then morphs into yet another giant story that is not related to the first / main story - had to put it down for good when the second attempt came up; scanned through and saw the long drawn out unrelated last third - what a waste of money
