Features & Highlights

  • COVERT WARRIORS
  • There’s an uneasy and unholy alliance building across the Caribbean. Few in the U.S. government want to believe that a Third World country and its chest-thumping leader could pose a credible threat-but then why are the Chinese helping to train its special forces? Why are the Russians helping to build a nuclear power plant? Charley Castillo and his men go in to investigate, but they have no idea what they have just gotten themselves into. By the time they finish connecting the dots, they will be on the hit lists of the Kremlin, the Cubans, the Venezuelans, and the drug cartels-and totally out on their own. Whatever happens next, they’ll have to do it by themselves.
  • HAZARDOUS DUTY
  • Mexican drug cartels are shooting up the streets of Laredo and El Paso. Somali pirates are holding three U.S. tankers for ransom. The President of the United States is fed up and, as Commander in Chief, has what he thinks is a pretty bright idea — to get hold of Colonel Charley Castillo and his merry band and get them on the case. Unfortunately, that will be difficult. Everybody knows that the President hates Castillo’s guts, and has just had him forcibly retired from the military, and now Castillo’s men are scattered far and wide, many of them in hiding. There are also whispers that the President himself is unstable — the word “nutcake” has been mentioned. How will it all play out? No one knows for sure, but for Castillo and company, only one thing is definite: This is going to be hazardous duty.

Great service in getting the book to me but Griffn got lazy in his writting - the books are duds

The last book should of never been written not in the state of mind the author was in. He stated at the end of the book that he struggled in writing this chapter in the Presidential Agent series and it showed in the writing. most of the book was a review of the strong point of the first six books and for a new ready I would thing that was boring because it sounded stale this time around but maybe it's that some of the stories were told over and over again in each book seemingly just to eat up paper. The book did have some humorous points but more on lines of the ridiculous. The book ends in a rush, like a school kid struggling taking a test and the teacher says, 5 minutes to complete, so the student just fill in anything he can think of to get out the door. I'm going to have to re-read the first couple of book in this series just to get the stench out of my head. 7 wasn't much better than the finale. If these were the first couple of books in the series I would of never read another book. yup that bad.

Quit after book six

A disappointing and somewhat sad ending to an otherwise very entertaining series. Stop at book 6, say "and they all lived happily ever after." Book 7 was a comedown from the forgoing and nearly half of book 8 was recap. 8 was intended to be humorous, but the humor was lost on me. Just say no to the last two volumes.
