Don't make the mistake of thinking this is like any other book you've read about golfing....

In his book, "101 Mistakes All Golfers Make" Jon has managed to make clear those issues we all have with our game. Not all about swing theory, his short, easy to digest and read "mistakes", address how we think about our games. I will be telling all my clients to get this book and read it! If your serious (or not) about your game, there is something in here for you. One of those books you read and reread to remember what you already knew and had forgotten about.

Great golf book for golfers of all skill levels!

It doesn't matter if you're a scratch player competing in local tournaments or a high handicapper out with your buddies on the weekend, GOLF IS HARD! There's so many things that can go wrong during a round of golf that will ruin a good round. But the true key to getting better is how well you manage your mistakes, learn from your mistake, and then fix your mistakes.

In 101 Mistakes All Golfers Make, Jon lays out perfectly some of the many mistakes you can make as a golfer and then how you can fix them. You won't find instruction on one of the hundreds of different ways to swing the golf club or advice on the best putting stroke. You'll find common sense solutions to the most common mistakes. It's easy to read and understand no matter what skill level you are. By the end of the book, you'd be surprised how all the little mistakes you make on the golf course can really ruin a good round.

It doesn't matter if you're an avid golf nut or just a casual golf fan, I highly recommend getting this book. You'll quickly see how some of the little mistakes you don't realize you make make on the golf course can easily add several strokes to your golf score.

Golfers tend to do many little things wrong and feel bad about the game

A game of mistakes, unrealistic expectations, not being honest with your self, all of the above. Golfers tend to do many little things wrong and feel bad about the game. Mistakes noted in this book aim our focus on correcting those little things and remind us why we play.

but he does a good job ignoring specific swing thoughts and focusing on the ...

The real value in this book is that it doesn't focus on mechanics, but on the mental side of the game. That isn't to say Jon doesn't have opinions about mechanics, but he does a good job ignoring specific swing thoughts and focusing on the bigger picture. The tips are good for beginners and experienced golfers alike. The latter group might feel like it's common knowledge, but it's stuff that we all need to be reminded of from time to time. If there were 264 more of them it would make a great daily calendar.
