Great book from a fantastic doctor!

There are many books on the market about caring for your newborn, but this one should be at the top of your list.
As the mom of three kids who were each born prematurely, I can personally say that Dr. Bob is an expert in his field. He is full of valuable knowledge and has such a warm and calm demeanor. I feel so blessed that he has been our doctor for many years. He took care (and continues to care for) of each of my babies born early, answered all of our questions and gave each of them excellent care. Dr. Bob knows babies! He truly loves them and the book he has penned is a gift to the world. I hope new parents will have the chance to read this gem of a book, directly from the "Baby Whisperer" himself. Enjoy!

Best Baby Book

I received this book as a gift from my sister-in-law and this is a must read for all new parents! It was so interesting, practical, and fun to read, I finished it in 5 days. I’m actually hoping to read it one more time before our baby arrives in July. There’s no shortage of books for new moms (or moms all young children) and if you only have time to read one book — this is it. Truely inspiring from cover-to-cover.

The "common sense" advice so many parents seem to be missing these days

Dr. Bob has been our pediatrician for four years. We met with him just prior to the birth of our son, Jackson. In addition to Jax, he now also treats our daughters Paisley (2) and Georgia (12 weeks). We met with a few pediatricians prior to going with Dr. Hamilton. When we met him, we knew instantly that he was the one. He was older than the other pediatricians we met, but his enthusiasm and obvious joy in the magic of birth and childhood on the greater whole was immediately apparent. Some of what he said in that first meeting is in this book, as are many of the other nuggets of wisdom he has shared with us. As a father of six, grandparent and pediatrician with three decades of experience, we often grill him for advice and guidance.

Truth be told, we've figured out a lot of what Dr. Bob talks of in this book on our own. Our kids are young but so far the experience has been truly magical. For me, it has been the greatest experience of my life. As Dr. Hamilton advises, we didn't change our lives for our children. We've been taking them to restaurants, movies, concerts, sporting events and on road trips and up into the air since their earliest days. And they've adapted to all of it and love it. Kids are more adventurous and adaptable than people realize if you only give them the chance. We've seen many friends go "off the grid" after having children. We've seen them stay home and go stir crazy. We've seen them tip-toe around their house and "shush" everyone who enters. But that has never been us. And it's nice to see a book that talks about this and seems to think we're on the right track.

This will now be the book I gift to new parents. Dr. Bob still sees the wonder in newborns and parenthood and I hope to follow his example and keep that wonder alive in our family for the rest of our days.
