I preordered this way back when it was first announced and have been waiting anxiously. It is so much better then I was expecting! All of the lessons in the book are interesting and very well throughout. I have been experimenting on my own and plotting how to work a few of the quilts in the book into my project schedule. It is well worth buying because you will use it over and over.

This is an excellent book! It is very detailed and easy to understand. It includes amazing patterns and also concepts on how to design my own projects. I would highly recommend this fabulous book!

This is a great paper piecing resource! Even if you know how to paper piece, there's still quite a lot in here. The book starts off by showing the author's method for paper piecing (which has some tricks I'd never encountered before), and then delves into how to design paper piecing patterns. This includes designing from photos or drawings, dealing with curves, making repeated motifs, and how to add design embellishments. Then it gets into a series of design prompts to help inspire you to create your own designs, and shows an example (with pattern) for each of the prompts.

I don't generally purchase quilting books because I'm not as interested in patterns, but this one is definitely going to be a staple on my shelf.

Very clear explanations, includes exercises and patterns but also does a good job of encouraging the reader to design their own.

Received my copy yesterday and this book is brilliant! Full of great tips, both on doing foundation paperpiecing (FPP) but also designing your own FPP patterns. The author uses several unique quilt patterns to illustrate techniques and share best practice. I have an idea for a FPP quilt, and am really looking forward to creating it now.

I order this item twice by mistake but after looking it over I decided to keep the extra as a gift for a quilting friend.

I really like this book! It's modern, it's fresh, and it helps me see how to do FPP in a way I understand. When I am ready to tackle more complicated designs, I know this book will be there to help me figure out how to design and execute them! Love it!

I like that there are FPP examples of her own work, AND that she teaches you how to make your own FPP patterns - plus she includes resources and tips to make designing and creating easier along the way. 10/10 would recommend to someone who wants to start designing their own FPP patterns!
