Flat & predictable

The author of this book, possibly not JP but a ghost-writer, has not done any research whatsoever. The police department is absurd, the FBI even more. A psychologist(called Alex Cross, yes) does not like the way the husband of a patient treats her, so he goes and beats him up. The only way JP has to "show" the love of a character for another is to let him or her say "I love you more than myself" or some other cliché. To "show" how people really are, he digress about the music they listen to; he cannot catch them in any lively situation. The first generation of Batman was way more sensitive & realistic than this book, where the best cop on Earth fight the worst criminal ever. The cop is very tender; the criminal was raped by his own father, etc. They keep telling you why you must buy a Mercedes. There is only one criminal and one main murder, so there is no intrigue. When the author says "wiseguy" or "made man", it sound so artificial that it embarrasses the reader. I didn't even learn anything about Washington DC or its PD. I have read bad books and somehow felt good about it. This book I kept reading, thinking it was not possible it would be so bad to the end. And it was.

First James Patterson books were GREAT. However

First James Patterson books were GREAT. However, the last one I read was written with no real ending. I believe he is now writing books with open ending only to sell the next book. I will not purchase any more.

"Alex Cross" by James Patterson

I brought this book for my son as he picked up a copy at work and did not get a chance to finish reading it before he has to return it. I was totally suprised when he asked me if I had a copy of this book as he normally doesn't read books, therefore I was very happy to buy it for him. ( I had a copy of this book, but lent it to someone and never got it back).
I love all of James Patterson's books! I think I have read most of them and am always looking for any that I might have missed.
I am hoping ttat I have picked up another fan for James Patterson as my son is now reading his "Jack and Jill" book and is loving it, which makes me very happy as reading to me is as important as living!!!!

Alex Cross Never Bores!

I have read every single Alex Cross novel written and this was one of my favorites. A friend introduced me to James Patterson with Kill Alex Cross, this was in January, here it is mid-August and I have read every single book starting with Along Came A Spider. If you enjoy following charactors from one book to the next then Alex Cross is a Hero to follow. His family is important to him and even more so in this chapter of the series. One always hopes nothing bad happens to the main charactor and even more so with family. If you love Nana Mama this is a must read for Alex Cross fans. Get your copy today, its a page turner to say the least.

Boring Book

Plot is boring, doesn't have a logic sequence. I to love James Paterson but this book is one of the worst. Repetitive, predictable, B.O.R.I.N.G... I could barely finished it. Too much dwelling in the past, very unrealistic moves by Cross. Plain and boring book.

Kept me on the edge of my seat.

A horrific case has crossed Alex Cross’ desk—a serial rapist. Working with his old partner, Alex begins turning up the clues to who might be assaulting Georgetown women. It’s cat and mouse all the way in this page-turner of a story. Worse yet, this might be who killed his beloved Maria. This kept me on the edge of my seat.
