Home Run!!

Kate Stewart hit a home run with this book. It was so much fun to read. I was able to read it all in one afternoon and still think about it days later.

Alice was so much fun. She didn't have the greatest childhood, but she came out of it stronger and made sure that each day, she lived life to the fullest. She was so funny, and just down to earth. Even when her filter didn't work. Which I think is one of the things I liked most about her. It was the fact that she had no filter and didn't care what others thought by her no nonsense approach to living. Yes she did get embarrassed, but she continued on her journey.
Rafe was a sexy, cocky ball player trying to make it into the big leagues and this was his year. He just had to keep his temper and ego in check. So falling for a google obsessed "nerd" is not something he needs to do , but when the 2 of these characters get together, no one could resist the spark between them. Rafe enjoyed hanging out with her even when she was a little quirky. They each brought out a fun, playful side to each other.

Loved this book. It was a fun, fast read. It will definitely have you laughing and swooning right along.

It's not hard to love "nerds and boneheads"

Omg I laughed so much I almost "peed" hehe myself.. This book was so much fun I dint put down until I was finished I have never read one of Kate's books but I'm sold and a complete fan now!! I absolutely loved Alice and Rafe and all of the extended family and friends this was a fun read with steamy scenes and it hooked me fast!! I would definitely recommend this!!

Review: Anything but Minor was just the book I needed. This book guarantees a good time, hilarious scene and a freaking cute couple. This is seriously one of the best books I have read this year and without a doubt, it’s slipping into my top 10 reads of 2016.

Alice is a flight instructor and moves to Charleston and meets the baseball player, Rafe. The meetings and banters of these two will keep you entertained. I love to see them fall in love – sweetest couple of the year goes to Alice and Rafe, undoubtedly.

Now I must admit that the beginning of this one was a little slow but I’m so glad it caught up and the rest just blew me. If you’re looking for a light read with lots of laughter and sweetness, check this one out – you will not be disappointed.

A movie moment...

Ahhhh. Anything that needs an immediate reread in my book deserves 5 stars. The story of Alice and Rafe was, at times, sweet, funny, sexy and sad...exactly what I crave in a romance novel.

Rafe, a professional minor league pitcher almost has it all, or so he thinks. He about to be called up to the majors, lives in his hometown with his best friend and teammate and an endless source of beer and women. Alice hasn't been so lucky. Growing up stifled by her mother, she is finally breaking out at 25 to be a flight instructor. New job, new town, new adventures, new life.

One of those adventures tosses Alice into a whole new ballgame One wrong seat and a few chance meetings later, Alice and Rafe begin an interesting journey. Can they survive what life throws at them? I know....but you will just have to read it and find out for yourself. I'm already on my second read through and I have to say Anything But Minor is even better the second time.

This is an easy reading book that has it all. It was a great mixture of laughter, passion and steaminess.

It features 2 people who are complete opposites. Alice is quite a sweet, innocent girl who had moved from a sheltered upbringing in Ohio to Charleston, whilst Rafe is the local sports celebrity, he doesn't do relationships and can chose any girl he wants.

Watching the relationship develop between these 2 was so much fun, Alice's ability to get into weird situations and her quirkiness did make laugh at times and cringe in others. No matter what she did she never put Rafe off. The secondary characters were great too, would love to read more about Andy and Kristina.

This is the first book I've read from Kate Stewart and I will be checking her other books out. It had great characters, fab plot that kept you turning the pages, fab HEA and was really well written

Anything but Minor is a refreshing, amusing romance with lots of flirting, witty banter, and likable characters.

Rafe is a minor league baseball player. He's got the whole package and good looks to boot. The last thing he needs now is a distraction, even if it comes in the form of a tough, beautiful, sophisticated woman. Alice works as a flight instructor. She was raised by a single overprotective mother but now she feels ready to open her wings and make her personal revolution by working and living on her own. When they meet, Alice tries not to get distracted by Rafe's dazzling good looks but she quickly discovers how funny and sweet-natured he is and she's starting to fall for him—hard. Rafe is intrigued by the sexy nerdy girl…getting involved with her is everything he shouldn't do, yet the attraction might be too strong to resist. The sexual tension between them is about to drive Rafe to his knees.

Rafe and Alice had great banter going between them and the relationship grew slowly, which intensified the sizzling and the chemistry. They had some pretty serious, yet playful and flirty conversations, and you could just see that they were growing closer and closer the more time they spent around each other.

All in all, I really loved this book…Great characters, interesting plot, sizzling love scenes and a sigh-worthy HEA. It’s a fun read, well-written. I was not expecting such quality from a contemporary romance. I highly recommend it as an entertaining contemporary romance.
