Ednah Walter taught herself to write fiction after she finished college and decided to be a stay-at-home mom. When she's not knee-deep in battles between Guardians and demons, she writes contemporary romance (the Fitzgerald Family series). When not writing, Ednah Walters spends time with her husband, five children, and two cats. She lives in a picturesque valley in Utah.
Features & Highlights
Lil isn't just an average teenager. She's one of the Nephilim--the descendants of humans and angels--which gives her some serious psi skills and a mission for redemption. Just when Lil thinks she's found a balance between her normal life with human friends and her training to become a Guardian, she's warned that someone close to her will betray her. When the boy she loves starts acting strangely and one of her human friends acquires a supernatural ability, Lil begins to realize that someone is manipulating the people she loves... and won't stop until she's been lured to the dark side.

If you are looking for an average read about nephilim, this is not the book for you. Ednah Walters wrote a fast-paced, exciting novel with a large, but interesting cast of characters. Although I did not read the first in the series, I was never confused when reading Betrayed. This book may be the second of the series, but it could definitely be enjoyed by itself.
I won't give away much of the plot for fear of ruining the book, but will say that I was never able to predict what would come next. Lil and Bran's romance is growing, but secrets keep getting in the way. Lil's father is continually trying to draw her to evil and the Guardians have a new mission. Time will fly as you read.
Teens and young adults will love Betrayed; it has traits of other popular books in this genre, but a flavor all its own. Every character is driven and awesome. Lil is passionate, Bran is mysterious, Sykes is hilarious, etc. I give Betrayed five out of five stars and recommend this book to everyone out there!
*Complimentary copy received for review, this in no way affects my opinion*

Loved it, Loved it, Loved It.....but 1st book is a must.
I have never read a YA angle/demon story that I did not love! No matter how many I read, there is always something a little different that makes the story special. And boy does this one little fact about Lil make it different and special and one I will not easily forget. I like that she is coming into and accepting who and what she it. I love a strong female leading character and although in the beginning she was not quite there, she was still her own person with her different style and dam those that had a problem with her roots. I'm still in love with Bran and love the way he treats her. Loved him from the very beginning and knew he was unique. The story is fast past always something going on never a dull moment a few steamy scenes but nothing to hot and heavy, got to keep it YA. I also like the way that the story continued straight away from where it left of in Awaken without too much of trying to catch up a reader, therefore book one is a must, which should always be that way and I guarantee if you love angels, then you won't be disappointed in this series. I recommend Betrayed to all ages and those in love with angles stories. I would like to thank Ms. Walters for providing the ebook so that I may provide an honest review. Thanks you so much for allowing me to read wonderful story. On with the next one, I can't wait.

Gaaah, amazing book! :D
So, as I mentioned in my review of Awakened, the moment I finished reading an excerpt from this book I immediately put the series on my "to-read" list.
I am now officially obsessed. I loved everything about this book. I felt like I was on a sugar-high the whole time I was reading. It was plain awesomeness in book form [then again, books are awesomeness by themselves, so I guess that this means that this book was awesomeness(x2)]
Normally second books aren't that great - Hi, New Moon (don't get me wrong, I love the Twilight series, but New Moon was just... not that great) - but Betrayed just blew me away.
I can't believe I hadn't heard of this author before, but now I am a legit fan.

betrayal hurts and what's up with Bran
I loved the continuation of Lil and Bran's story. It doesn't take long for action to start and suspense to build up. I was frustrated with whatever was keeping Bran aloof from Lil. And it seemed everyone was suspect to me in figuring out who betrayed Lil and the others. The action continued to the very end with some very sweet moments added in with some children (who were demons by the way).
I can't wait to see what happens next in the story. But thankfully, there are no cliffhangers here!

I loved this book
This book was brilliant. I have read several books about angels that have been good, but typically, I have not really been drawn to this type of story. After reading the blurb about Betrayed, I was intrigued and interested in the book, and I absolutely loved it. Lil is 16 years old, part Nephilim, part human, part demon..yes...and she is the Chosen, a Guardian in training, and one kick-butt heroine. She and her friends and fellow Guardians go to high school by day, blending in with the humans, while their nights are spent either at the academy training and/or teaching, or out demon hunting. It seems that everybody wants a piece of Lil, and her Grandpa, who she lives with and who is one of the leaders, has forbidden her from leaving the valley for her own protection. Her hot, Hot, HOT boyfriend Bran, begins acting strange and keeping secrets from her to. On top of that her father, who is a demon, contacts her and begins to plant seeds of doubt in her head regarding who she can trust, while her best friend Kylie, who is human, also begins acting strange. With the help of her friends, Remy (swoon), Izzy, Kim, Celeste, and the oh so yummy, melt in your mouth Sykes, she is determined to find out what is going on and determined to do whatever it takes to save the ones she loves. The question is, how far is she willing to go towards the dark side to accomplish this, and will she and those she loves survive?
Betrayed is one of those books that captures your attention from the first page and and keeps it until the last. There are quite a few characters in the book and I loved and felt connected to them all. The were all written well, and in fact, I even loved to hate the bad ones. Ednah Walters has taken the world of mythology and added her own twist to it, which is both exciting and imaginative, and created a world where these mythological characters are also teenagers that you can relate to and enjoy. I loved Sykes, not only is he super hot, he is really funny. I also really liked Celeste, Bran's sister, who was quite unique, and I thought her character added a lot to the story. The romance between Lil and Bran is really hot, and despite their issues, they truly love one another. Then, there is the action. With all the different classes of demons and angels, you are continually awed by the supernatural beings you encounter in the story. There are some intense battle scenes and Bran, Lil, and the others can really kick butt. This novel was fast-paced, creative, and incorporated just the right amount of humor and romance that makes Betrayed one of those books that keeps you turning the pages to see what happens next, with unique twists that keep you guessing. I found myself up to the wee hours of the morning without realizing it. If you love books about angels and demons, or are a fan of mythology, you will definitely love this book. If you love fantasy and romance, then I think this book would be something you would enjoy, and if you haven't read many books of this nature, then Betrayed is definitely one I would recommend. Betrayed is a great book by a great author and I look forward to reading more in this series.

Review of Betrayed by Sarah@CatchingBooks
So when I first started this book I was actually completely lost..but after doing some research I realized that this was actually the second book in a series! I luckily was able to find the first book and get up to speed, and not be so confused when I read Betrayed! Overall, I enjoyed Betrayed, but I did find it hard to follow at times especially since I read the first book kind of quick.
The plot of this book was really interesting! I liked how Lil is able to balance both her human life and her training to become a guardian. After reading a bunch of different angel books, I really liked how Ednah Walters is able to incorporate angel mythology into a new way! It was great that the author kept this book at a good pace..I liked how the beginning was a little slow and then when the action hit things definitely sped up!
The main character, Lil, is really great. Like I said before, I liked seeing her balance her guardian life and her human life. I thought she does a great job of being able to balance both and still do the things that she loves to do. Lil really cares about the people she loves and she will do anything she can to protect them.
Overall..Betrayed was a nice read! I really do recommend reading the first book in the series before this one because otherwise you will be completely lost (which happened to me)! If you are looking for a new angel series check this one out!

My thoughts: OMJB! I loved this book, Ednah Walters FREAKING DELIVERED! It was fantastic and it kept getting better from there. You know how some books have really horrible sequels that suck and are super boring? Well, this was nothing-NOTHING- like that. It was super intense as always and the plot kept on unfolding and getting better.
Hello, the synopsis? INTENSELY EPIC!
*desperately fanning myself*
OK, overall this book was simply delicious. There was sarcasm, hawt guys, and freaking magic. That is all one needs to be happy, am I right!?
Anyways, READ THIS SEQUEL! That is, if you have read the first one. This is one great series!
