Beyond the Gathering Storm (Canadian West #5)

This book begins with Henry, the boy, Wynn and Elizabeth adopted and tells about his life and the life of his sister,Christine, also adopted by Wynn and Elizabeth. It is strange at first to read about these two because Christine isn't mention in book 4 of the series. Book 4 (When Hope Springs New) tells about how Henry comes to live with the Delaney's and how they adopted him. This book begins with Henry who is now 25 and a Canadian Mountie like his father, Wynn. Henry finds love and pain in this book yet he learns to overcome by his faith in God. Christine also finds love and then loses it because she becomes engaged to a nonchristian and she learns the hard way that this is not Gods way. The characters are so well developed and you begin to cry over their hurts and laugh or rejoice with them when things go right. This is also a book I will probably read again.

Very disappointed.

Unfortunately I thought I ordered the book with this cover, however, when it arrived it was actually an old copy and not the one that is shown. I now have a set with the new covers and this one. Very disappointed.

This was #5 in the series The Canadian West Saga and it did not let me down!

I loved it and could not wait to go on the When Tomorrow Comes # 6! I know # 6 was the last in the series but if she decides to add more to the saga I will read them too!

Book five in the series

The author remains true to the series style and story line. This is a very inspirational story especially for teens and young adults who want to remain true to their convictions and may need a boost in this confidence. This book makes one choose to read the sixth and final part of this series. The spiriutal impact is encouraging.
