So-so

Pretty middle of the road book with nothing original in the characters or plot. Really annoyed by all the female characters complaining about how hard it was to find a good man or balance work and life, not that I think either is easy but we don't need to hear about it every chapter. Outcome is very obvious even before most of the facts are revealed.

Such a lovely surprise

Last few books I've read were quite disappointing. Fortunately I stumbled upon this little jewel. It starts as potentially predictable serial killer on the loose, novel, but it isn't so. Short at less than 200 pages, sharply drawn, deftly plotted, with every ,even minor character, clean and clear as a bell. I already had 3 next books in the series, and today ordered another one from England. Such a lovely surprise.
