As a woman who has served for many decades in ministry with my pastor-husband, I have never experienced the agony of divorce personally but have walked this tearful path with many women in the churches we have served. This book really helped to sort out my feelings and to know that Jesus does love me and has the best plan for my future.

She shares from the bottom of her heart and the depths of her soul what she wished she could have heard while living through (and after) a divorce as a Christian. If you're in the midst of the breakup of your marriage, this book is worth a read. Reeves offers Scripture that will encourage you and advice that's been tested. She's so honest and down-to-earth. You'll feel like you've got a friend walking beside you, not an expert talking down to you.

As one who hasn't experienced divorce I also learned a lot about how to approach those who are with compassionate. I would point any Christian woman who needs help surviving divorce to this book. (I read a pre-publication version of the book).

Finally! A true Christian book about dealing with divorce! This has many helpful ideas & I actually bought one for a friend going through divorce & she loved it! It's nice when you can get a Christian perspective on something that is still taboo in so many churches.

I felt like she knew exactly what to say to me. I kept saying aloud, "Yes! That's exactly what I thought!" I will re-read it many times.

This is a wonderful book. Written from personal experience without bitterness. Based on who you are in the eyes of God instead of the eyes of man. Good practical advice with humor thrown in. But best of all it leaves you with hope, joy and peace.

I purchased this book as part of a care package I sent my best friend after finding out she was getting divorced. I LOVED this book. I have read many books on divorce and this one was one of the very best. The author shared just enough of her own story to show she knew what she was talking about. And she tackled many of the most pertinent struggles a Christian woman feels when dealing with an unwanted divorce, yet expresses her hard-learned wisdom in an engaging manner. She injects humor, reality, and spiritual perspectives that are sure to encourage anyone with a broken heart who thinks her life is over after a spouse leaves.
