This book has been my bible while doing the keto diet. I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know. Have even bought and gifted copies to MANY people who showed interest. I’m so lucky some woman recommended the book to me randomly at Target only a few days before officially starting.

If you want to make sure you all know everything there is about Keto, you found the right book! It includes a 30 day meal plan with easy to follow recipes. You really won't regret buying this book! It changed my life. On March 11, 2019, I started my Keto journey. I weighed 218. As of October 10, 2019 I am 142ibs and maintaining. This book truly is the best thing to happen to me. My next goal is trying to build muscle by increasing my exercise regimen. I'll need lots of luck!

This book came at the EXACT time I needed it. Thank you, Drew (and Universe for aligning all of us so perfectly)! I’ve been working to reset my mind but needed an extra boost to get me going and to teach me more about how keto works and to break it down in a simple way that is super helpful. Also, to help me with the emotional side and help reassure that “it’ll be ok”. My innerperfectionist stops me every time if something is “too hard”. This book makes it simple without sugar coating the fact that it’s not easy but SO worth it! Simple but not easy and that’s ok. ❤️ I don’t love a lot of books but this defiantly a must have for me. This isn’t a read and pass it on. It’s a read, highlight, dogear, and keep close at all times book. And if someone else needs it, you just buy them their own copy vs loaning yours out. A great book from one of my favorite fitness/nutrition experts

I am a fan of Fit2Fat2Fit who's been making Drew's spinach smoothies for so long they've become a family "thing" that my elderly mother makes every day for herself and my son who is helping her. Every family vacation my sons ask for these. Now he's taken his counsel to another realm. I am doing fairly well all he advises in the new book, but I love the additional tips and ideas, especially on making "Keto-adapted" a way of life. The recipes, the ideas, the good council - this book will be a regular reference guide for a very long time.

Book ever written. Save your money and avoid a very eating disordered lifestyle. The author is clearly full of garbage and has no knowledge of true Ketosis in a healthy manner. Buy the ketogenic bible instead.

Very comprehensive book

I've been on and off Keto for almost 3 years (mostly "on"). I have no less than 12 Keto cookbooks. This book is different than all of them. Why? This book seems to be reaching out to those more inclined to workout and do *fitness* than you run of the mill stay at home mom who wants to lose weight without exercise. This may be good or bad, depending on your approach. Here are my thoughts:

PROS:
Comprehensive information section in front of book that talks about Keto and the myths behind Keto
Nutritional info on every recipe
Photo on every recipe
Menu guide for food, motivational quote and exercise for a month
Detailed exercise instruction photos including modified instructions for those with injury or just starting
A vegetarian guide and info
Before and After stories of people who have used the program
Recipes do not include lots of "weird" ingredients.

CONS:
photos on recipes although appreciated, all all in black and white. I eat with my eyes and not have color photos leaves me disappointed in the book overall. You put the photos in (bravo!) but you cut costs with b&w? Back short cut IMO

Includes "carb up" recipes and days. This is not practiced by many keto followers and may be confusing for beginners.

This book goes off of total carbs of 30 and under and has features on carbing up on some days. This goes against other popular Keto books (Maria Emmerich for example). All in all, I like that this book includes the exercise section that no other book does. If color photos would have been included, it would be 5 stars.

For the Beginner

Never done Atkins or Keto, never picked up a book on dietary change? This might be the book for you.

The author writes in a pseudo- self-help style, complete with testimonials to make you motivated and feel good about the change you are making to your lifestyle. He offers some rationale for the diet, but doesn't get too carried away with the bio-mechanics of how and why our body uses different fuels in different ways. While he does mention fasts and cleanses and wax a little on their benefits, he doesn't get overly preachy.

The book discusses exercise and offers a number of routines that are not dependent on a gym membership (kudos to the author) as well as discussing the reason for exercise and its benefits (though I do disagree with his sentiment that you can succeed without it, sure you can lose weight, but you won't necessarily be healthy without the exercise).

It, also, offers a number of daily meal plans for the first 30 days (though I do find fault in that they are labor intensive in that they make minimal effort to use leftovers as a supplement during the week to reduce preparation work - See I Breath, I'm Hungry for someone that does a better job on weekly meal plans). The recipes are fairly straight forward, though I would say often unimaginative (grilled steak and vegetable is hardly a stretch in culinary terms).

Ultimately, this is a good book for those wanting more info on Keto, what it is, why you might want to try it and how to go about it. If you are already initiated skip straight to the cookbooks ( I like Keto for Life by Mellissa Sevigny ). Oh, and my copy of this book was a uncorrected proof, and I must say, please, please, please, please, do not publish the final book with black and white photos for the recipes - use color even if it does cost a bit more (there is little in the world of publishing less lackluster than a recipe book with black and white photos). P-)
