Description

From Booklist Cindy is worried about her business partner and best friend’s disappearance in Ecuador, so she travels to Quito to find her. Because her wealthy, powerful father insists that she hire a guide, she reluctantly retains the extremely macho Trace, who views her as a spoiled American princess with too much money and no sense. She doesn’t know that her father has offered Trace an astronomical amount of money, and neither knows that Cindy’s father is hoping that Trace will seduce his daughter. He’s bribed men before in the hope of grandchildren. Trace pushes Cindy to the limits of her endurance to make her give up and go home, while fighting his desire for her. Thanks to her father’s meddling, Cindy has doubts about her attraction to men. Sparks and steam abound when these two get together, but will it last? This first hardbound editon of an early Lowell title will please romance fans and showcase the seeds of her later, hugely popular romantic thrillers. --Patty Engelmann Cindy is worried about her business partner and best friend's disappearance in Ecuador, so she travels to Quito to find her. Check the copyright date

This was listed on Amazon as being published in Dec.09, so I was surprised to receive it right away. Expecting a new work, I was surprised to find that the copyright date is 1988 - obviously a reprint of an earlier work. I wish that had been mentioned on the initial review.

I liked this

This is part of the McCalls series (2). I have enjoyed every single one of Elizabeth Lowell's books and I have ordered almost every one she's written.

I really love this book!

This is an adventure from beginning to end. You hate to think how far some fathers will go to have grandchildren, but in the end it all worked out for the best. A great read.

Not her usual - very disappointed

I usually love Elizabeth Lowell, but this one bored me all the way through. It just seemed much more immature than her usual and the main characters were so mushy I had to close the book!

disappointed

Should have read more about this book then I would have noticed it had been published before. It was not up to Elizabeth Lowell standards. I don't mind some romance but I would not have wasted my time and money. I need to quit buying just because of the name of the author
