GREAT BOOK! IT'S A KEEPER!

I'm a little surprise by the dismal comments made concerning Wolf Lonetree. I absolutley love this book! I don't believe Wolf was being abusive, I believe he felt betrayed and he was angry. Jessica basically blackmailed him into marriage. It was either he marry her or she would basically ruin him in the eyes of his father and England aristocracy. Her fear of the marriage bed was justifiable but her cruel words to Wolf in a moment of weakness was downright wrong. In other words for Jessica is, "look but don't touch." You can see that Jessica does not understand the bliss of intimacy and Wolf was very unbending in continuing their marriage. Although there is a lot of miscommunication between them FINALLY love conquers all. When they finally consumate their marriage all I can say is... HOT! But the most funniest moment of the book is when Jessica's braid is caught in her locked trunk and Wolf tries to pull it out while he tries to fight off hysterical laughter. Great read and I've read in many times and never tire of it.

Good book

This was the second book in the "Only" series. I enjoyed all of those books. And I look forward to any other books by Elizabeth Lowell.

Really wasn't all that bad.

After reading some of the reviews I was expecting Wolfe to be a complete Jerk! However he really wasn't. He was upset that he was forced into the marriage and he really didn't think she could handle being a frontier wife. I'm thinking that he didn't really know Jessica or her hidden strengths and depths. He just kept picturing her as the little aristocrat at the ball! I don't think he wanted to even think about what she was capable of. His view was completely slanted from the get go. Which made it entirely funny during the shoot out in the coach with Rafe in there with Jessica and the other woman. Wolf just assumed it had to be Jess doing all the screaming because she couldn't possible have dealt with anything like that!

Didn't care too much for him constantly throwing Willow up and Jessica and would like to know why Willow had some of Jessica's clothes. Other than that it really wasn't that bad of a story. Kept your interest and had some funny parts too.

Hot Hot Hot!

I love how lowell builds the chemistry and her detailed love sceens. I know some readers complain about how long they last but I personally hate it when a writter just skips over the details! One of my Favorites by Lowell!
