Features & Highlights

  • There's more than one way to keep a vampire up all night.
  • I swore I was over clingy men―I have enough to deal with taking care of my own damn self―so I decided to give up dating until the gene pool markedly improved. But then I happened to share a toe-curling kiss with a sexy Irish vampire (What? It was an accident! My lips fell on his!), and it became obvious the problem wasn't men―the problem was
  • human
  • men.
  • Unfortunately, right after my revelation about gorgeous vampires and their excellent tongue game, my "future boyfriend" disappeared. Way to make me feel unwelcome! What's a girl to do? Join V-Date, the popular vampire dating site, obviously. How else was I supposed to find my Irish delight other than to let the vampire community know I was on the hunt for him? Yeah, yeah, okay, maybe not the best idea considering there was some sort of human recruiting going on, but hey, at least he can come to my rescue now…I hope.

Steamy, hot banter. A fun read!

They're an unlikely match.

Silver Harris, a 24-year-old woman, is not looking for a clingy man. She just wants to have some fun. She’s quick-witted, outspoken, and cynical. It feels as if she almost dares anyone to love her.

Logan Byrne, a sexy Irish vampire, doesn’t do long-term relationships.

On New Year’s Eve, the two meet, and after a heated kiss are left with an unwelcome attraction for each other. Silver wonders if she can ever go back to dating ordinary guys and discovers VDateService.com., a dating site for vampires and mortals. When Logan is asked to put a glamour on the women using the site the two are thrown back together again.

There’s something quite fun about watching two people who claim not to want to be involved in a relationship fight the sizzling, undeniable attraction between them. Sparks fly, and the heat is turned up to boiling. But the story is so much more than just a romance. There are sinister forces here that want to keep the two apart.

This was a fun read. The banter had me laughing out loud. As much as Silver tried to push Logan’s buttons, he always remained calm and unruffled. Because I liked the book so much, I also purchased the CD. Listening to the Silver’s English accent and Logan’s Irish accent added another level to the story. And how fun is it to go on the VDateService.com to find a vampire match?

Zany characters and steamy sex make for a hilarious vampire romance. Fans of Katie Mac Alister will be sure to find this book a winner!

Silver Harris is tired of all the losers she's been dating. In fact, she discovered her latest making out with another woman on New Year's Eve- the nerve! So she makes a grand exits from the party and she walks directly into more trouble when she meets a most distracting vampire named Logan Byrne. Logan gives her the hottest kiss on record and then adds a bite that takes her to heavenly bliss. Well, Silver figures she has the solution to her woes. She will stop dating human men. She will find herself a hot vampire boyfriend instead. She isn't looking for anything serious just some fun and if Logan is a taste of what vampire men are like...she wants more! So she decides to join a vampire dating service called V-Date. But while these vampire men look good they just don't make her hot and heavy like Logan.

Logan is the vampire enforcer and his boss has put him a new mission. The new V-Date site is really an elaborate set up by human police to find out more about them. Such as their vampire weaknesses.... So Logan assigned is to join V-Date and find out who could be undercover on the site. And reporting information about vampires to the police. But who does he find but the one human Logan can't forget. Silver. And he can't seem to get his hands or fangs off of her! Could she be part of the spy network? Logan hopes not, but until then it is his duty to watch over her....

Criminally funny this romance will knock you socks off. Logan is very sweet for being a tough guy. Silver is sassy and her friends are wacky and adorable characters. Logan and Silver have chemistry from the get go. Logan is honorable and quite kind. But a new player from Logan's past brings danger and Silver's questionable involvement with the police adds additional confusion. As both try to muddle through love, the undead and staying alive the action and sex get only set steamier! This original and laugh out lough romance will tickle the funny bone and keep you on your toes with a multitude of surprises.

failed to be either super corny or super dark.

Review courtesy of All Things Urban Fantasy:

DATING THE UNDEAD introduces a world where vampires are “out” and don’t need blood to survive. It’s also a world where vampires need a website to find dates though, which is a bit strange.

The vampire mythology was interesting: the elder vampires cannot be killed - even decapitation is only temporary! - but the vampires are much more like traditional vamps with weaknesses. Learning about these weaknesses is why Silver, and the London Police Department start spying on vampires using the V-Dates.com website. Silver

Silver and Logan are hot together, and their romance goes through many typical PNR tropes: keeping secrets, trying to stay apart to protect each other, scorching hot sex. But I was also super confused as to why they like each other. Their meeting was pretty random, and apart from the fact that they “can’t stop thinking about each other”, I never felt like they had that much in common.

DATING THE UNDEAD is a book with really sexy love scenes and a few surprises that kept things interesting, but it failed to be either super corny or super dark. It was constantly toeing the line which left it a bit bland. Not bad, but bland.
