plz dnt mk us wait a whole yr agn!!!

Omg... That's all I can fathom right about now. I had this authors debut novel "exposed" alrdy n my collection and it was every bit of juicy. I kept seeing "deception" in my recommendations and I was like Naomi Chase, Naomi Chase... She sounds familiar. Then I snapped my fingers... It clicked, this is the sequel to exposed! I bought it so fast my bank account almost missed the transaction lol. But deception was off the candy man hook. It was full of drama, mystery, DECEPTION, and erotica. Every elements in a book that I love. It left you hanging at the end but in a good way. Because we know there will be a trilogy. My only selfish concern is I hope she don't have us waiting another whole yr. Exposed came out in Feb of 2011 and deception came out Feb of 2012 *sigh* please ms. Chase dnt do us like that again but great job this book banged!!!

Can"t Wait For The Finale!!!

I guess my opinion is opposite of the first reviewer because I was actually kind of pulling for Cynthia in Exposed but really didn't like her in this. I understand fighting for your man but she just came across as sneaky, underhanded, mean and just annoying in this.I sympathized and respected Tamia a lot more in this novel for trying to protect her sister and honoring her word and promises she made to others(as well as owning up to the mistakes she made and doing better). I also liked that we got to know a little bit more about the horrible up bring Tamia and Fiona had and the negative behavior it led them to engage in.I think Brandon might have been a bit hard on and insensitive to Cynthia though, but I think after awhile he(like I did)began to feel like she couldn't be trusted and was really just putting on a show in order to manipulate him.Overall extremely well written book love that ALL of the characters have flaws and aren't picture perfect. The secondary characters are also very well developed and had a great impact on the overall story.I loved this book can't wait to see what happens next.

P.S. I really hope that Brandon and Tamia make it.

CLEVERLY WRITTEN

Just by the way this book ended, there's gonna be a lot to look forward to in the next book. Although Tamia got rid of a lot of her burdens, she's still not out the woods yet. As long as Dominic remains in the picture, she won't be at peace. Since the beginning, How is it that Dominic always seem to know where to find Tamia? There is someone who is against Tamia and Brandon being together. I think all that is gonna come out in the next book.

I feel the same way many of your viewers feel. Especially, with the way this book ended, kinda make you want to take a sneak peek at the author's manuscript. I am optimistic it will be worth the wait.

(4.5 Stars) This stand alone sequel delivers...

Tamia Luke has been saved by her prince in shining armor, the renowned Brandon Chambers, son of the prominent Lieutenant Governor Bernard Chambers, and the man she loves but betrayed in the worst way. Tasting freedom is bittersweet, especially when she has to watch her nemesis claim the victory with her lover, her best friend, and her very own soul mate. Brandon plans a future with Cynthia, one befitting his family's social status and expectations, but his heart palpitates to a different beat for Tamia. Fiona Powell is Tamia's sister, and she's guilty of envying her sister, riding her sister's coattails, and sacrificing her sister at the ultimate expense...guilty on all accounts and some unnamed. Sisters by blood, sisters by deception, and sisters in every sense of the word but disconnected by secrets that these two sisters bear the burden for the sake of being sisters.

Deception is the sequel to Exposed, a book that I haven't read but don't really feel slighted. Ms. Chase did a great job of penning this book as a stand alone with its captivating characters, dynamic dialogue, electric scenarios, and tempestuous cliffhanging ending. Murder, suspense, lies, raw sexuality, judgmental behavior, cunning manipulation, unchained desire, hurt, and life changing choices all season this thrilling novel, ensuring a tasty and addictive memorable read! I'm really anticipating book #3 to see how Ms. Chase masterminds this journey.

Better than Fifty Shades of Grey Could Ever Be!

Ok, first thing first. You gotta read Exposed first. It is what motivated me to download Deception within fifteen minutes of completing EXPOSED. Secondly, be prepared to be locked up in the house in your bed or on the couch until you have finished this book. IT IS JUST THAT GOOD! I read Exposed in a day and a half and my friend that told me about the book begged me not to start on Deception right away in fear that I would miss another day of my life neglecting everything trying to read this book! She was right. Once you start, you can't put it down. The characters are developed strategically and every single chapter is exquisitely written. It's funny how i was pulling for Cynthia by the end of the first book, but in this book, everyone's true colors come out! The drama never ceases. It's way, way better than Fifty Shades. This book actually has life in it. Keeping you on edge and very much surprised. Unlike the repetitious and predictable Fifty Shades. Even though Fifty kept me reading, it was just very, very different. Naomi did an EXCELLENT and I do mean OUTSTANDING job. I just pray that she completes book three soon! Please, please, please Ms. Chase, don't leave us hanging much longer. I can't take the pressure of not knowing! I'm already having Brandon/Tamia withdrawals!

WOW I NEED A DRINK!!!

I have been patiently waiting for the release of Deception and all I have to say is that it was well worth the wait!! I wish I could rate this book 100 stars because it is that good! This book definitely exceeded my expectations and left me wanting more!! I read this book in one day and I was very disappointed to get to the last page! The book has suspense, drama and more drama and it had me on the edge of my seat! I am definitely rooting for the characters of Brandon and Tamia to finally get a happy ending. The way Ms. Chase weaves words together is pure magic and the chemistry between Brandon and Tamia is pure fire! I needed a drink after reading the scenes between Brandon and Tamia!! I enjoyed the new improved no nonsense Brandon Chamberlain (you have to read the book to know what I am referring to)! I also enjoyed the secondary characters of Beau, Brooke, Dre, Shanell, Honey, Addison, Dominic, Lou, the Yarbroughs, the Chamberlains and even crazy Fiona and Cynthia! Kudos to Ms. Chase on giving us the back story of Fiona and Tamia's childhood and how it greatly impacted their adulthood. Can't wait to see what unfolds in the next book which I hope will come out this year! To understand everything that is going on in Deception I suggest that you pick up the first book in the series Exposed. Naomi Chase is a extraordinary writer and I look forward to reading the next book in this series!! Happy reading!!

Building Relationship Around Books-Karen Green-Berry

The saga continues with the characters we met in Exposed. Tamia, Fiona, Brandon, Cynthia ,Dominic and other characters had me spellbound from the first page to the very last.
Ms. Chase's book had me believing that these characters were real and I experienced every emotion with them. My disappointment was that it ended before some of my questions were answered, but I guess that will be answered in Book 3. Did Tamia and Brandon finally hookup? Did Cynthia and Brandon get married and was she really pregnant? Was Dominic able to create more havoc in Tamia's life? What was Fiona's fate? What became of Pastor, was he exposed? Patience, Karen, patience, your questions will be answered.

Well done, Naomi Chase!

Naomi Chase did a good job of connecting "Deception" to the first book, "Exposed." It was a quick read.
