He is Bob Saget, and in Dirty Daddy he delivers uproarious, uncensored, and heartfelt stories from his life in entertainment and beyond. Throughout, he shares tales of close friends and colleagues like Rodney Dangerfeld and Don Rickles, and recalls his experiences with show-business legends, including Johnny Carson and George Carlin. Told with his highly original blend of silliness, vulgarity, wit, and heart, Dirty Daddy reveals Bob Saget as never before—a man hilarious and often dirty, yet warm and disarmingly sincere, who loves being funny and making people laugh above all else. One uninteresting book of sex jokes

As others have mentioned this is a disorganized wreck. Probably one of the most silly and irrelevant autobiographies I've ever read. I wouldn't even call it that, one minute he's discussing his life then he decides to insert some random joke that isn't funny. He does this every other paragraph. He doesn't add any compelling details about his life or career that is worth reading about. He doesn't dish on his Full House cast mates because he sees them all as family so we learn nothing new. It all boils down to Bob simply writing unguided thoughts about nothing. I pray he decides to never write another book because he just isn't cut out for it. Stick to stand-up comedy Bob, you're a terrible writer. At least hire a ghostwriter next time.

Too manic for my taste.

I just couldn't get through it. Too scattered....too stream for consciousness for my taste.

Hard to follow

Disappointing. Great stand-up comedian, but does not translate to the written word. But might demonstrate what is going on in the man’s mind as he creates his comedy.

Kind of boring.

Two million dirty jokes and pretending to be Mr. Sensitive nice guy. Meanwhile we know he dates girls half his age and did not include that in the book. I am wondering why Mr. Saget was praising Howard Stern's perfect marriage toward the end of this book. Everybody knows that Howard doesn't even live in the same home as his trophy wife.

So-so reading material

Let me just make it clear, in case the title doesn't clue you in: this is a book full of crude humor and curse words. I can't believe the number of reviews on here where the reviewer seems shocked that this book isn't done in the same vein as Full House or AFV. It is called "Dirty Daddy" for a reason!

That said, I really found the humor lacking in this book. It had its funny moments, and surprisingly, it had its touching moments as well (such as when Bob talks about his sister and other deceased family members). The main problem I had with this book is the disjointed manner in which the material is presented. Bob does say early on that he gets sidetracked easily and warns the reader that he will just go off on random tangents. But honestly, that gets annoying after about the first 50 pages. I have ADHD and often get sidetracked myself, and even I found the fragmented, wandering narrative distracting.

Overall, read it if you want to get tidbits of humor and insight into Bob's past and personal life, but it's not what I'd call laugh-out-loud humor.

90s Kid

Bob Saget was one of the greatest comedians of my time (90s). He was an icon. He was the best TV dad in the world. This book is part of my HUGE collection of books.

A good read

Reading the book, it feels like Bob is actually talking to you about his experiences, I love autobiographies for that reason. He's ever bit as much raunchy as his standup

Bob Saget *IS* Danny Tanner

if you get past the 8th-grade humor and f-bombs, he is still a nice guy, won't dish the dirt on anyone, and is given to long moralizing passages. OK in parts, boring in parts. Not an autobiography. Not suitable if you are offended by adult situations/language.

Bawdy Bob Is A Dirty Daddy

I enjoyed the audio version. Saget's reading of his own material enhances all of the anecdotes. I never watched "Full House" or any of the other TV series in which he starred. I know and like his stand up routines which are so blue, they bleed purple. Much of his adult humor is tasteless but hilarious. The book is an homage to filthy fun with plenty of disclaimers along the way.
