Dragon Shattered: A Reverse Harem Dragon Fantasy Romance (Spellbound Shifters: Dragons Entwined)

I had a lot of difficulty getting into this book, sad to say.

The premise was interesting, and the author has some seriously fantastic descriptive skills. When she was setting the scene, I could see it in my mind’s eye so vividly. There are some books where they can come off as too descriptive, but it was really well done in this book.

My issue with the book comes from the relationship build between the characters, or to be more specific between Ariana and the men. You actually see a lot of interaction from the males POV and how they interact and develop their connections, but I felt that was lacking when it came to Ariana. For example, near the beginning the interactions between Ariana and Taylor are stilted as she tries to avoid her feels. But then out of no where a few pages later she’s running her hands over him, as seen from one of the other males perspective. It seemed as if there was a scene missing where the reader actually gets to see Ariana get more at ease with how she feels around Taylor. That’s just one example.

There was no build in the relationship. For me, that’s the most intriguing part and it’s the part where I typically start to feel for the characters but that didn’t happen for me with this book. It all just felt dry and stiff to me, and honestly I had difficulty finishing the book because I completely lost interest.

I devoured this story in not even 8 hours and need the next book ASAP! this is my first book by Keira Blackwood but she is now permanently on my radar. her writing style flowed incredibly well. The story grabs you and pulls you in to the point you dont want to let go. You get to learn more about each character and see different aspect through each characters eyes. The one thing i would love more of, is Slade's pov. You can feel the love these men share for Ariana and her defenses breaking down for them. Please hurry with the next in the series i need to know what happens next. By the way, I received a complimentary ARC, but chose to read and review it of my own free will and am so glad i did.

You can't ask for more than hot, sweet, shifter dragons in love. Amazingly well written story with angst, emotions, soul, brains and just enough steam.
Ariana is having a hard time moving past the tragedy in her past when she is confronted with 3 hot dragon shifters! Taylor is a romantic, Quentin is the brainiac and Slade is the muscle. Overall, may be considered a slow burn but totally worth the build. Can't wait to read the next in the series and see where these 4 end up!

What a heart breaking start, the MC loses her husband and finds the will to keep going.
On top of that, she's a strong willed / kickass women but truly cares for her staff.
Throw in the mix the new 'applicant's and this is where you see how they all connect and help each other.
Great storyline and really enjoyed the world this is set in.
Highly recommend.

This book was so, so good. The characters and their relationships with each other were amazing, and the plot was fun and exciting. I really recommend it.
