Regency Spy Romance

A great start to a promising series. I love the code name "Nelson's Tea" (it's what first caught my eye) and appreciate the author's nod to characters from literature such as Zorro and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Well done! The romance is breathless, the plot exciting and believable for the period and the characters intriguing. I look forward with enthusiasm to the rest of the series.

Classic Pirate Romance

Catherine Danbury runs away from an arranged marriage by escaping on board a ship bound for Spain. Pirates attack en route and she’s captured by cutthroats. Saving her is a swashbuckling pirate who kills the captain and takes over the ship. He takes over her heart, too, as he slowly seduces her. Percy intends to take her home, but how will she feel when she’s reintroduced into society and meets him without his disguise? Will she recognize his frivolous nobleman act as a falsehood meant to put enemies off his trail? Moreover, can he protect her from the fiancé who still wants to claim her in marriage against her will? Despite the familiar trope of the heroine being seduced by the pirate hero, this story will keep you turning pages and hoping this troubled couple finds happiness together.
