  • .The night I met Drew Jagger, he'd just broken into my new Park Avenue office.I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills. He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant.Only, turned out, he wasn't an intruder at all.Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He'd been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn't really available for rent.I was swindled out of ten grand. The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he'd let me stay until I found a new place.I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn't help giving him a piece of my mind.I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages. The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing. And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

If I could give more than five stars, Egomaniac definately would deserve it!

Vi Keeland has delivered a spectacular story in Egomaniac. From the very start she filled it with unforgettable humor, combustible chemistry and a story line that kept me burning through the pages to find out what would happen next. For the first time in a long time, this was a story that developed into so much more than I could have ever expected. There were times I laughed out loud, (almost to the point of tears,) times when I was nearly brought to tears because I was so emotionally invested, as well as times that just gave me an overwhelming sense of the "feels" as I read this magnificent book. From reading the blurb, I did not expect to have such an emotional charge from reading this story. I expected a fun, quick read that I was sure to enjoy, but I should have known better. Vi Keeland is a mastermind at developing fantastic worlds that I can't help but be sucked into, my only complaint is that it had to end. This uniqueness alone is why I am a huge fan of her work.

In the incredible story, you meet Emerie and Drew. Emerie Rose is new to New York City. She thinks she has found a steal of a lease for her new practice. The only problem is, that it was completely false. She had been had, duped and completely taken advantage of. To make matters worse, the man claiming the space to be his is nothing short of an egomaniac.

When Drew Jagger returns from his well needed vacation, the last thing he expects is to walk into his newly remodeled office and find a woman there claiming the space is hers. Yes she is a spit-fire and it will likely be to his demise for helping her, but as a Native of New York City as well as a well-connected lawyer, he felt it necessary to help her sort the mess out.

I absolutely loved how Vi Keeland developed this plot. This book quickly became much more than a hot-headed lawyer and tenant. Their chemistry was off the charts. They each were feisty in their own right and had me completely consumed by the events in this story. I certainly can't wait to see what Vi Keeland has in store for us next!

Ego + heart = love

**THIS IS THE BEST & FAVORITE BOOK BY VI KEELAND**

Sorry, wasn't yelling at you...just really excited. This book is insanely good!! The complexity of the characters, the comic relief in the writing, the plot...Keeland wrote such a great book, I couldn't put my kindle down. I almost wish I had read a paperback because I wanted the gratification of turning the page, because it was a page turner!

Drew is unapologetically an a**hole. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have a heart of gold. He's lived and learned, plus he knows exactly what he wants. Plus, he likes to argue...he's in the perfect profession!

His diametric opposite is Emerie. While he's dissolving marriages (and helping others seek revenge), she is doing her best to salvage those. She's a quirky little thing with enough spark and sass to keep Drew on his toes. From the first time they run into each other, she begins to draw out a different side of his nature. Even though Drew pulls the a-card for others, it's a whole new ballgame with these two. Emerie is a sweet, but naive soul. She thought she knew what love and lust were, but those definitions were completely turned upside down and invalidated when Drew strolled into her life.

So why did I like this book so much? I found it to be a perfect blend of humor, lust, emotions, and tenderness. The writing never stagnated and the characters were written to such perfection. I am a huge fan of Drew (ego and all). He has his flaws, but his good qualities are golden. Of course, I can't divulge because you need to read this book for yourself.

In my experience, Keeland has always written wonderful stories with dynamic characters. I think what takes this book to the top is the complexity we see in Drew, how Emerie and Drew pair, and their choices of how to move forward through difficulties.

Please do yourself a favor and go grab this book. Make sure you add it to the top of your TBR!

Did not get far into this one

I was immediately turned off by the "meet cute" of these characters. MC standing on a chair shrieking ridiculousness, and then the male MC (busy and jaded attorney) immediately drops everything and takes her under his wing.....pbbt. I just don't buy it, and it makes me distrust this author. Plus, I'm really frustrated by how silly and improbable the female MC acted.

I LOVED THIS STORY!!

My favorite romance stories are the ones that I get to fall in love along with our main characters.

And when I say that, I mean..you fall in love with each of the characters. Such likeable, fun, strong, spunky characters that you can't help but smile at with their sarcasm or snark.

And my favorite? When you fall in love right along with them.. As a couple.

That's the whole reason I read romance.

Egomaniac is one of those stories.

I hate spoilers in my reviews, so I'll try to do my best not to ruin anything for you.

Seriously. From the first few words on the page until the last, Vi Keeland takes you on such a fun, beautiful story of the journey that is Drew and Emerie's love. Both of these characters are just so likeable, you cant help but cheer them on. Now, with a title like Egomaniac, you can tell that our hero has no lack of self-esteem. Which is what makes him a perfect compliment to Emerie's strong-willed opinionated character.

They don't meet by any conventional means, of course. But he shows what a good guy he is - deep down - right from the start. Even sharing his space with her - despite their jobs being both similar, but so different.

I actually loved that about them. Being on opposite sides of the same token, if you will. It gave both of them more depth, and you understand them a bit more later on in the story. The choices they make.

I really, truly loved this story. It was a great read, with likeable characters that you fall in love with. The best kind. :) 5 AMAZING stars. So go get your copy now!

I love that there is so much more to her stories ...

I have only recently discovered Vi Keeland, and now that I have finished my second book by her…I am hooked. I love that there is so much more to her stories than just the physical relationships. This was a heart felt story about a father and his son, along with the romance. I also loved how the two love interests meet in this one! Another great read!
